I suggest listening to the song above (if it's not there it's called Notice Me by Role Model) while reading the first part of this chapter😉

~Your POV~
    Tuesday
You heave a sigh, shuffling through everyone's papers.  Gosh you were overloaded with so much work.  You had hundreds of assignments to grade from the weekend's homework.  You had to go over the lesson plan tomorrow, oh and then pick up Wren from her party later.  Less of a party, and more of a hang out with her friends.

You didn't even notice the knocking on your door, until your name was called.  You look up to see Tom waiting in the doorway, and you immediately smile.  Monday wasn't weird at all, it was actually quite fun.  You guys had lunch together - along with Max of course - in the teacher's lounge, and you even stopped into his classroom to see if he needed help with anything.  The kids of course let out a series of "oooos" which made you and Tom roll your eyes.

"Hey!" you smile, closing your gradebook and getting up. Tom enters your classroom, and you guys join in a hug.  Yes, hugging was a thing now... not that you minded...

"I was just about to head out, wanted to make sure you were good," Tom smiles.  You blush a bit, and give him a nod.

"Yeah I just have lots of assignments to grade,' You laugh, running a stressed hand through your hair.  Tom frowns.

"Oh, do you need any help?" he asks.  You shrug, running a hand through your hair once again.

"Some company would be nice... " you say, hoping he took the hint.  Wait, why did you say that?!  Gosh, what was going on with you?  You still didn't know if you liked him or not, or even what to think!! Your heart wondered why it would be so bad to go out with him, while your brain yelled at you, and reminded you of the past.

"Well, I will stay then," Tom smiles, and you smile back, going over to grade papers.  Tom wanders around the room, before stopping by your bluetooth speaker.

~Tom's POV~

I had the perfect idea, by gosh, would it be a bit of a risk... but...

"Hey could I play something?" I ask, turning towards Y/n.  She looks up at me with those stunning eyes of hers, tucking a strand of y/c hair behind her ear.  Today she wore an off red dress with gold stud earrings that went with the necklace she wore.  She looked gorgeous as always.

"Sure," she shrugs, before going back to her papers.  I suck in a breath, pulling out my phone and connecting it to the speaker.  I scroll through Spotify, before finally finding the song, and pressing play.  A soft guitar filters through the speakers as I walk over to Y/n's desk.

*Play song whenever you see fit but I played it here

She doesn't seem to notice me, totally focused on the papers.  I clear my throat, and she looks up, meeting my eyes.

"Dance with me?" I ask.  She blinks a few times, and gives me a small smile with a shake of her head.

"Tom, I have work I - "  I hold out my hand to her, cutting her off.

"Dance with me," I repeat.  She twirls the pen between her fingers, contemplating my offer.  She finally heaves a sigh, setting her pen down, and getting up.  I smile at her, as she slides her hand into mine, and I guide her to the front of the room.

"I'm not a very good dancer," Y/n says, as I wrap my arms around her waist, and her hands rest on my shoulders.  I scoff.

"I refuse to believe that," I whisper, and she chuckles softly.  We slowly sway around the room to the calming voice coming from the speaker, and the guitar strumming along.
