The two 3rd years who were known as the parents of the team had been acting kinda, well, different lately. No one knew why but they didn't really feel like they could ask. So instead, they decided to investigate. Hineta would ask Suga what was going on between the two, since there was clearly some kind of tension between them.
At the end of practice, the small 1st year cheerfully approached his upper class man. "Hey Suga-san!" He called. "Oh, hey Hinata", he said, turning around. "What's up?" The smaller boy looked up. "Did something happen between you and Daichi?", he really wanted to find out why they were so awkward around each other. "Oh, ummm... n-no, nothing happened, we're all good. Why, why would you ask that?", the 3rd year rambled. "Oh, it's nothing. You guys just seemed a bit tense around each other, that's all." He smiled before waving good bye to Suga.
When he got back to the rest of the team, he told them what Suga had said. "And he didn't say anything else?", Nishynoya asked. Hinata shook his head. "Nope, that's it." The team still wanted to know what happened, but they knew better then to ask Daichi, since he probably wouldn't say anything about it ether. Although, it was still worth a shot. "Hey, Daichi!", Tanaka called out to their team captain. "Yeh, Tanaka?", their captain asked me "What's up with all the tension between you and Suga? Did something happen?" The 3rd year froze. "Umm, no." The rest of the team looked at him, even Suga, who was now walking towards the group. "Hey, uhh, Daichi?" The grey haired boy called. "Can I speak with you please?" Daichi nodded before walking over towards where Suga was standing. "We'll be back in a minute", the volleyball team captain said. And with that, the two older boys walked off to go and have a private talk in the equipment closet. (I don't really know what to call it.)
"I think they know", Suga started off. "Yeh, I think so too," the dark haired boy replied. "Should we tell them?" Suga asked. "I guess. I think we just need to be totally honest with them all." They looked at each other while walking out. "Hey guys, can you come over here for a quick sec?" The guys all came running over. "What's up?" Hinata asked cheerfully, happy that they had seemed to have cleared things up. "We have something that Daichi and I need to tell all of you guys." They interlocked their hands. "Something did happen between us", Daichi stated. "I knew it!" Nishynoya yelled. "We haven't even said anything yet, Noya", Suga laughed. "But we do need to", Daichi began. "Suga and I, well, we, we kissed." "And", Noya said, wanting more information. "And, we're together", Suga said, kinda nervous. "Wow, you guys are dating? Congrats guys!" The small red head cheered. "Yeh, congrats", Noya called. "Yes, congrats", the rest of the team said in union. "Uhh, thanks you guys", Suga said, running the back of his neck. "I think it was pretty obvious", Tsukishima pointed out. "Tsuki!" Yamaguchi said. "I guess not even we could keep anything like this a secret from Tsukishima", Suga laughed awkwardly.
The team finished putting away the volleyball equipment and headed to Coach Ukai's corner shop before heading home. As they went their separate ways, Kageyama walking with Hinata in his bike, Tsukishima with Yamaguchi, and Daichi with his arm wrapped around Suga, 'the just came out' couple sighed and walked the whole way home together. "See, I told you they'd be okay with it", Suga said, looking up at Daichi. The latter pulled his boyfriend closer. "Yeh, I guess you were right", he said, before walking the rest of the way home in a peaceful silence.
