New Girl

You were the new girl. Tony Stark took you to your new home at the Avengers headquarters. You were nervous to say the least.

"Everyone is going to love you (Y/N), you have nothing to be worried about!" Nat said as you entered the building with her by your side.

"Plus Wanda and I are so happy to have another girl around!" She says rubbing your shoulders as you got closer to where everyone was. You met up with Tony who had dropped your bags in the main room and you were met with Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes.

"Hey guys, this is (Y/N) she's joining our team. So be nice." She warned the two, making them turn to look at you. When Bucky's eyes landed on you it was like his world was spinning. You were just standing there before Steve nudged Bucky's shoulder and made his way over to introduce himself.

"Steve Rogers." He says giving you a hug making you feel a little more at ease.

"(Y/N) (Y/L/N). It's really so nice to meet you." You said after you had pulled away from the hug.

"Hi, I'm Bucky." He said coming out from behind Steve to greet you with open arms.

"Let me help you to your room!" He said grabbing your bags as you were a bit shocked and looked at Nat who just smiled at you and gave you a thumbs up. You laughed, shaking your head as you followed Bucky to your new living quarters.

"Here you are. If you need any help at all my room happens to be right next to yours." He said, giving you a smile that made your heart do a flip. You thanked him and headed into your room to start unpacking when there was a knock on your door. You walked over to open it to see Wanda! You had known Wanda for a little bit before they recruited you into the Avengers.

"You're here!" She says flinging her arms around you pulling you into a huge hug. You laughed hugging your friend back. You were so happy to have a familiar face around here.

"So, I saw you met Bucky." She says wiggling her eyebrows at you, making you shake your head.

"Yes, I did. He's very sweet." You said, she sighed knowing that was all she was going to get out of you for your first impressions on the boy.

"Oh come on. Can't a girl get a little more gossip?" She asked sweetly, trying to persuade you.

"Nope, my lips are sealed." You say continuing to put things into your dresser and hang things up in your closet.

"Well, fine. But I do have a little bit of intel of Bucky but I guess you don't want that." She says starting to walk out of your room. You shook your head at your best friend and just let her walk out. You didn't need to know that right now. You just need to focus on training and becoming the best hero that you could be.

The next couple of days you had spent training with Tony and Nat. With your power as the sun summoner you didn't need too much training but you did need to be able to know what to do when you are in a fight. Today after your last training session you found yourself in the kitchen making lunch.

"Hey, how was your last training session?" You heard Bucky say as you were closing the fridge.

"Hey Buck, It was good. I'm happy and feel ready to take on the world." You say and He smiles at your enthusiasm

"Don't you go all cocky on me now." He says nudging your shoulder as he walked past you to grab a water bottle. You weren't gonna lie, these past few days you and Bucky have been spending a lot of time together. He has really been teaching you the ropes. But just now when he bumped your shoulder you felt something. Like a jolt but in a good way.

"Catch me being cocky and you can personally kick me off the team." You say as you both shared a laugh. You pulled out a barstool and sat down at the island with you sandwich. Bucky stood on the other side of the island.

"What are you doing later today?" He asks

"Um, I don't think I have anything planned. Why's that?" You asked back as he shrugged.

"Would you wanna go get dinner maybe?" He asks, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. Your heart felt like it was going a million miles an hour. You could feel your face start to heat up as you looked down at your food smiling to yourself.

"Sure Buck, I would love to!" You say looking back up at him and giving him a smile. He smiled back at you.

"Cool, I'll grab you by say 7?" He says grabbing his water bottle as a smirk fell upon his face. Your red cheeks were very prominent as you nodded saying 7 was fine.

"See you then." He said winking before walking out of the kitchen and off to do other things.

"Ummmmm, did we just hear that actually happen?" Nat asked walking into the kitchen followed by Wanda.

"I think so, I um. Did that really just happen?" You ask as the two other girls crowded around you reassuring you that it really did happen. Once you were done with your sandwich they pulled you into your room to help you get ready for tonight.

"So how long has this been a thing?" Wanda asked

"Whatever you think this thing is. Just barely happened today." You said laughing as they raided your closet trying to find you something to wear. They finally decided on a white crop top and some cute mom jeans.

"Well, we all know Bucky has been planning this since the day you came to the team." Nat said sitting you down to do your hair.

"Why do I not believe you." You laughed as they shook their heads at how oblivious you were.

"Bucky has had eyes on you ever since Fury brought us your portfolio and your picture got passed around. Ask anyone here." Nat says. You roll your eyes thinking they were just saying that so you wouldn't get your hopes up too high about this date tonight.

Soon they finished getting you ready and snuck out of your room right before 7. You fixed yourself up in the mirror right before you heard a soft knock on your door. You smiled shaking out your nerves and going to answer the door. You saw Bucky on the other side holding a bouquet of flowers and looking as cute as he ever could be.

"Buck," You say softly as he handed you the flowers "Thank you." Grabbing the flowers from him you held them close to you and sniffed them.

"I hope you don't mind roses. I didn't really know which were your favorite so I just went with a classic." He says nervously.

"Roses are perfect. Seriously. Thank you." You say hugging him as he hugged you back tightly. Making you feel safe. You pulled away and he offered you his hand to take which you did.

"Let's get going then." He says leading you out of the building as the two of you hopped into the car as he drove you both to your dinner destination.

Once you were in the car he still kept hold of your hand as he was driving. Soon you both arrived at a local restaurant in town. Bucky being the gentleman he is opening doors for you and pulling out your chair.

Dinner was the best and you had an amazing time with Bucky tonight. Definitely wanting to do it again soon. You arrived back at the headquarters and stopped at your bedroom door.

"I had a lot of fun with you tonight doll." He says holding your hands and running his thumb over your knuckles.

"Me too Buck. Thank you for taking me." He nods smiling at you.

"Well I'll see you tomorrow yeah?" He asks as you nod giving him a smile. He smiles back and leans down to kiss your cheek. Blushing, you gave him a hug before you both went into your own rooms.

Bucky made you feel home. You were defiantly going to keep him around.
