Team India was in Australia for tour. ODI Series was about to start in 2-3 days . So having a off day all were cramped in one room (Virat's room). Yuzi was laying beside Kul who was busy doing something in his phone mostly scrolling SM. Virat was laying all curled up against jinks who looked at him amused because Virat being silent is totally unusual or maybe it's was because he was missing certain someone (bestie) who was not in the squad.
Others as Bhuvi , Shikhar , Rahul & Rish were shattered around room busy playing some stupid game(thought vi) and Harry, jaddu were laying on the floor wishpering something maybe discussing some prank and jassi was outside in balcony attending a call bcz he just couldn't talk inside knowing his team mate won't let him talk peacefully.
After some time entered inside the room a very panicked jassi whose face was so paled that it scared all of them. So slightly pushing jinks (who almost fell down the bed ) , Virat walks toward jassi and in that attempt he might or might not have stepped over Harry's hand and jaddu's leg who cried in pain and sat up instantly.
As virat reached jassi he asked "what happened bacche"
Now almost everyone's attention was on jassi and were waiting for his reply anxiously, jassi slowly wishpered "bhaiya". This got attention of Hardik who was untill now trying to gain everyone's attention by crying loudly but getting sobered up he asked " Ro, Ro ko kya Hua" He asked that in such a worried tone that it even scared jaddu too.
Jassi was not able to say anything he was trying to but as if words were not ready to leave his mouth and exact that moment they heard 'ping'(notification sound) coming from kul's phone killing the deadly silence in the room , when he checked his notification, his face went pale and seeing sudden change in kul's demeanor, Yuzi tried sneaking in his phone and he got glimpse of kul's screen even yuzi's face reflect the same effect.
"What is it ? Jassi what happened to Ro?" Jinks asked calmly which he surely was not, but at that moment someone had to be calm and compose among all the hallowgoons.
"Rohit bhaiya has retired from all the format" chocked Yuzi while Saying it. This news only created more silence in the room. No-one was able to digest what they just heard.
"He can't do this, can he? Ofc not "
"It's has to be some prank and it should be"
"It can't be real, NAAH!! It's just Ro's prank" This were thoughts running in everyone's mind.
Virat gave himself a peep talk in mind saying " this is Ro's prank pakka , he can't just retire suddenly right , we have yet to win WTC then we have to win WC together , so how can he retire , it's prank--- yes it's pakka prank" and just to confirm his doubt he turned towards jassi, who in response just nodded his head crying destroying all virat's hope of thinking it's prank.
Jinks still not believing asked Jassi "You guys are lying Right? , Ro told you guys na to fool us , and see his plan succeed but now tell us the truth" it was difficult for Jinks to accept. But he knows well that jassi can't lie and this is his bhaiya's matter which means he won't even think about doing anything like this.
"Is it some sort of prank you guys are trying to pull on us ? " Shikhi found himself asking glancing at 3 of them , but he knows they can't prank on this type of serious matter.
Bhuvi silently goes towards Kulcha & snatched the phone from them and look at screen to see the tweet, Which confirms that indeed it is not prank and tweet was made from Ro's original account.
"This is not a prank, Ro himself tweeted this" mumbled bhuvi passing the mobile to jinks.
Harry was still sitting on floor numb with tears threating to come any moment now thinking "Rohit bhaiya can't do this without telling me or even Jassi , can he ? But but he can't take this decision without telling his best friend right " so he took one glance at Virat who was still in shock , which confirms that even Virat had no idea of it, so he turns toward jaddu who was sitting beside him with tear filled eyes which he didn't noticed till now because for him jaddu was never someone to show his emotions so to see jaddu with tears it didn't sit well with Hardik.
