Time Skip to After School
A/N: when I say gay I don’t always mean non women that are attracted to non women. Sometimes I just mean someone who is LGBTQ/attracted to the same gender.l
Ray’s POV
I slammed my locker and walked away from it as Emma trailed behind me. Ever since the last bell of the school day rang she’s been pestering me about Norman and other...things.
After lunch during my classes I continued to try and figure out my sexuality based on what I already knew but it’s hard to do that when the teacher calls you and you're so out of it that you don’t hear it.
“Come onnnn. Tell me something! Are you gay? Bi? Pan? Asexual? Demisexual?” Emma blabbed listing a bunch of sexalities I’m surprised she even knew and remembered.
“Look, as soon as I figure it out, you’ll be the first to know. Also for all you know I could just be questioning and turn out straight.” I defended and adjusted the strap of my bag on my shoulder.
“Ray, I’ve thought you were gay since like 5th grade. My gaydar is never wrong.” Emma deadpanned. I thought about it for a second then something clicked.
“Hold on. You came out to me as Bi in 6th. Did you think I was gay before you figured out you were?” I pointed out. How the hell did Emma think I was gay before I thought I could be AND before she knew she was?!
I shouldn’t have even told her what I was thinking about during lunch cause there’s no way she’ll stop pestering me until she gets her answer and not just me saying that I don’t know yet.
“Well- Yeah but in my defense you could’ve had some internalized homophobia that I didn’t know about.” She defended.
“You still ended up telling me anyway though so that’s not a valid excuse.” I argued. Emma just deflated.
“I give up, you’re too good at arguing. You would be a hell of a lawyer.’ Emma sighed and rubbed her temples in frustration.
“No, you just suck at arguing with me.” I concluded and started to speed walk down the hallway which started to create some space between Emma and I still she jogged to catch up to me.
“Sooooooooo?” Emma sang with an eyebrow raised. I rolled my eyes, “What?” I sighed.
“What do you think about Norman?” Emma smirked as she kept lifting her eyebrows up and down making a suggestive face.
“Personally, I think he’s an annoying, clingy, gay, albino with nothing better to do with his life then bother me.” I spoke, remembering the friend zoning, white haired boy.
“Ok, but do you-” Emma started to pester me further until someone cut her off. “Now aren’t all those things a little bit harsh?” A voice teased.
Norman’s POV
“Now aren’t all those things a little bit harsh?” I teased, walking up behind Ray and slinging my arm over his shoulder.
“Not harsh enough if you ask me.” Ray muttered, as he pushed my arm off him. “So mean.” I pouted.
“Hey Norman, what do you think of Ray?” Emma asked, grinning. By now we have made our way through the school and outside the school gates.
I don’t know where Ray and Emma live but I kinda hope it’s somewhat close to me. If I’m lucky I could live on the same street as Ray or Emma.
“I think he’s got a stick up his ass.” I chuckled. Emma burstered out into full fledged laughter, she was laughing way too hard for something of that level of humor but it was definitely still funny though.
I just smiled as we walked down the sidewalk to our houses. “It wasn’t that funny.” Ray muttered.
“It- It was kinda funny.” Emma said, struggling to get air after all that laughing. “You know saying that is kinda proving my point.” I smirked.
“Oh shut it.” Ray ordered, rolling his eyes in annoyance. “Yes master.” I said then realized what I said. My face immediately went red and I avoided eye contact with Ray.
Emma’s POV
“Yes master.” Norman joked then realized what he said. Both Ray and Norman blushed profusely and wouldn’t look at each other. Ray moved his hair more in his face more than it already was to try and hide his blush.
‘My ship is sailing’ I thought happily. “Well that was kinda gay.” I giggled and Ray turned to me to give a death glare. His cheeks still had a pink color on them but it was hard to see with the hair covering the majority of his face.
By now we already reached my street so I just cut across other people’s lawns to get to my house. “Bye guys! See you tomorrow lovebirds!” I teased, waving to them and jogging to my house.
Ray’s POV
“Bye guys! See you tomorrow lovebirds!” Emma teased, waving to us and jogging to her house. I haven’t looked at Norman since he made that comment earlier and I quite honestly don’t plan on it.
Emma lives a few streets away from me so I only have to deal with Norman for a few more streets as most.
It all depends on where he lives which sadly, I have absolutely no clue where he lives. We walked in silence until we reached my house and I just walked to it without saying a word.
When I looked back he was walking to the small apartment building at the end of the street. ‘Great, he lives close to me.’ I thought and stepped inside my house. I didn’t hear any noise in the house and Isabella wasn’t in the living room.
When I went to check the kitchen for her I found a note on the counter. ‘Went to run some arens, I’ll be back later. There’s food in the fridge if you’re hungry. Love Mom’ it read.
