Are You Serious?

After school ended, I headed home and started getting ready for the game tonight at school. I quickly showered. I wrapped the towel around me, and then sat at my vanity. Since I'm a cheerleader, I had to wear tons of glitter. I put on some sparkly yellow lipgloss. I put my hair in a bun, and left a curl hanging. I put on some eye shadow, blush and did my eyebrows. I was set and I put on the skirt and top.

The colors were blue, yellow and white.

I slipped on my shoes and started to head out, until Christina called me. I walked to her room to see she was dressed in the colors that I was wearing.

"Where you think you going lil mama?" I smirked.

"With you. I'm going to be your cheerleader." She smiled.

"Okay c'mon, let me see if Janell wants to come."

I walked to Janell's room to see her watching tv.

"Hey pretty." I said leaning on her door frame.

"Hey Mel, wassup?" She said smiling at me.

"Nothing, I just wanted to see if you wanted to come to game with Chrissy and I?"

"Oh sure, but can Jovante come?" She asked eagerly.

I sighed."Yes he can come."

She squealed and walked to her bathroom to change.

I walked downstairs with Chrissy so Janell can get ready. After I called Craig asking if Jovante can come with us, Janell walked downstairs. We walked into the car and after 5 minutes I was at Prodigy's house. Jovante came out with the school's colors and sat in the back next to Chrissy.

"Hey everyone, and thanks Mel." He said smiling at me. From the corner of my eye, I could see Janell staring at me sternly.

"Anytime little man." I said smiling at him. Janell gave me a thumbs up and we were finally on our way.

We walked into the school and the kids found some seats.

"I want the both of y'all to keep an eye on Chrissy, okay?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Good Luck!" Chrissy said shaking her Pom-Poms.

"Thank you Princess."

I walked to the gym inside the school, and realized no one was there. Am I early? I am captain. I grabbed a water from the cooler and walked out. Then I bumped into someone. Coincidentally that person was Jacob. I scoffed and continued walking until Jacob grabbed my arm.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Nothing. It's just my boyfriend is an unfaithful, inconsiderate jerk!"

"Mel, I understand your mad, but can we talk about this at another time. We don't want to go on that field in a bad mood, because I don't want to lose the game, and I definitely don't want you to hurt yourself, okay?" I nodded and he smiled making me smile.

"Can I get a hug and kiss, you know for good luck?" I smiled and kissed his lips hugging him tightly.

"Let's go"

We walked out and headed our separate ways.

"Mel?" Alana said.

"Yea?" I asked.

"What was the move after we get up from our split?" She asked. I showed her the moves and gathered all the girls into a circle.

"Okay, guys these moves are difficult, so don't try to be too extra on them because you will hurt yourself. Also when you throw me and the 3 other girls up, bend your knees. And today I'm letting Mia be the leader instead of me. So we follow her, okay?" They all nodded.

"Okay, get in your spots."

We walked to our spots and waited until the boys ran out so we can start cheering. I watched Jacob as I saw he had braids.

Who braided his hair?

I shrugged it off and continued doing my cheer.

When the game ended, I stopped to get my water from my bag. When I walked into school I heard something, not just something..

Kissing..

I walked to where I heard the noises. I stopped when I saw Jacob kissing some girl.

"Really?" I said as hot tears slid down my face.

"Mel...It's not what it looks like." He said.

"Well it's looks like my boyfriend is kissing another girl!" I whispered. My throat started to hurt as I talked.

"I think I should go." She said. Before she left, I grabbed her arm.

"No, continue. He's a single man now." Jacob looked at me shocked as I took off the charm bracelet and necklace Jacob got for me.

"M-Mel you don't mean that." He said grabbing my hand. I immediately snatched my hand from him.

"I'm tired of you! You've put me through so much, and I'm sick of it. You need grow up. I hope you find someone because that won't be me." I said as I walked away. I ran before Jacob can grab me back. I got the kids and we were going home. Jovante stayed there because Craig as  taking him home.

We made it home and I bathed Chrissy and tucked her in. I then went into my room until Janelle came in my room.

"What happened?" She asked.

"What do you mean?"

"The dried tear stains..this tweet Jacob just posted." I quickly grabbed my phone and went on his Twitter page.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

"Are you gonna tell me?" She asked.

I sighed. "Okay, but unless we have a sleepover in my room and I'll tell you everything and you tell me some stuff, okay?"

She smiled and nodded and went into her room to change. I started to change to, until I received a text. I looked and it said:

Message from My Baby.

I unlocked my phone and saw Jacob messaged me.

'Mel..can we talk tomorrow? I really can't throw away 4 years..'

I messaged him back saying:

'You threw them away the first time you cheated. Have a goodnight and life.'
