"A-asukka? W-what's all these tubes and IVs on your body?" I said I felt my tears drop on my cheek, Asukka looks at me with the saddest eyes, she looks like she's about to cry.

But she smiles, "Mom and auntie, can you two please leave us alone for awhile?" she said, the two women leave us alone.

"Ace, sit down beside me," she said, I sat beside her and held her hand, she took a deep breath "I have Cancer, Brain Cancer," she said, "I've had this for 5 yrs already". I was speechless, she had it for 5 yrs, 5 yrs already! "Why didn't you tell me?" I asked, "I didn't want to alarm you and I didn't want to hinder you, don't you want to be a successful chef?" she said, I sobbed "Still, I want to be there for you every time, I want to accomplish my dream with you, I want my future to be with you, I-" my sentence got cut off as she hugged me, I felt her warmth, that warmth of love and safety, I sobbed harder, she pats and rubs my head "I know, and I'll be there for you every time, watching you," she said, "How many days do you have?" I asked, "I have, half a year" she replied, I retracted back to my sitting position and tried wiping my tears but they still keep coming back "My Entrance Exam is in 3 months after I graduate Senior-High School," I said I will pass my Entrance Exam for Culinary Arts! Until then, be healthy for me!" I declared, Asukka looks at me teary-eyed, "Sure! I'll try my best to stay alive for you! Do your best Ace, cuz you're the ace in my sleeve!" She said, she gave me a smile. I raised my hand and formed a fist, she gave me a fist bump. "Bye, I'm going home to study! I'll check on you tomorrow!" I said, I left the room right away and ran to my home to study, I have to be strong cuz she's doing her best at being strong! No more weak days for me! I will ace my entrance exams, for Asukka!
