Starry rode the bus to her office, her earbuds stuffed in her ears, playing random K-POP songs. As she looked at the same scenery that she looked at everyday, the same roads, same shops.

A few minutes passed, and she felt someone sit beside her, but she didn't paid it any attention, thinking it was a stranger, and engaging in a conversation with a stranger was the last thing she wanted.

Someone took out her earphones, she turned to face the person, ready to tell that person off for touching her things, but she shut up when she saw it was her friend from the university.

"Sorry, you weren't listening.." Said the boy, a sheepish grin on his face as he looked at the girl's shocked face.

"Ash..?" She called his name, even though he was right next to her.

"Hey" He said, with a smile, it seemed contagious, as it made Starry smile as well.

"Hey, after such a long time!" Starry spoke as she paused her music and took out the earbud from her other ear.

"Yeah, so where you headed to?" He asked, getting comfortable in the seat, though it was a challenge.

"Office.. yay." Her tone didn't match with her words, hence the reason it made Ash chuckle.

"You seem very excited for today's adventure" He said, playing along the sarcasm.

"Oh yes, think about all the shit ton of work that'll be thrown at me as a software developer." Ash raised his eyebrows as he looked at her with a shocked expression.

"You can swear?" Starry rolled her eyes but chuckled before replying. "It's a monday morning."

"True, it can make anyone swear." After this the bus ride was mostly silent, none of them said a thing, but it wasn't awkward.

"That's my stop" Starry spoke, and Ash immediately moved aside to let her through.

"See you ..soon?" He asked, raising one his eyebrow hopefully.

"Soon." She said and got off, cracking her neck before walking towards her office.

Sam walked inside the campus of the college, nodding and smiling at the students who greeted her. She wasn't much older than the students that studied here. But her position as a professor required a certain amount of respect, which was given to her by almost all of the students. Almost because there are always some idiots who think acting as a rebel will make them look cooler.

She greeted some teachers before going inside her office. It was spacey, and had a desk and chair in the middle, a book shelf filled with all kinds of book right behind her.
