A/N: I apologize for not writing in the past couple of weeks. I have been super busy with work, school, reading, etc. I will try my best to update more often. Enjoy...
December 9th, 2019:
Val's POV:
My 6:00 alarm rang through my ears. I grumbled before picking up the deafening object and throwing it across the room, shutting it up.
I rolled out of bed when I realized that today was the day I can finally go back to work. The past month has been complete and utter torture not being able to spend every waking moment at the fire station and on calls. But yesterday was the last day.
I walked over to my bathroom and turned the shower faucet on. I closed and locked the door and undressed before stepping under the cool, refreshing, water.
I spent the next 20 minutes washing my hair and body before turning the faucet off and wrapping a towel around my damp figure. I walked out of my. bathroom and over to my closet with the towel still wrapped tightly around my body. My eyes were set on a black ACDC t-shirt and black jeans. The look was completed when I added black combat boots and a black beanie. I walked into my bathroom and washed my face with cleanser before I added some silver eyeshadow and black mascara.
I finished my makeup and brushed my teeth before walking out of my bedroom and into the kitchen here Travis was making breakfast.
"Morning asshole." I said in a groggy voice.
"What's up with you this morning?" He asked confused as to why I was snarky.
"Nothing. Just ecstatic to return to work and finally feel useful again. But I am not going to miss the constant deafening screech of my alarm so early in the morning." I said while grasping some fresh blood-red strawberries from the fridge.
Travis sat down on one of the kitchen stools and I took the other.
"Yeah, waking up this early sucks but it's better than sulking around all day." He said making me chuckle.
We ate our breakfasts before walking back to our rooms to pack our bags up for the day. My phone still on my bedside table, rang from a text from Eddie.
Eddie: Good Morning ;)
Me: Hola Mi amor.
Eddie: How is your morning?
Me: Well, I had to wake up at the ass-crack of dawn so that was a joy but I'm excited about returning to work.
Eddie: The ass-crack of dawn huh?
Me: Do not judge me right now. I have to get used to this again.
Eddie: Sure. Whatever you say princess.
Me: What did I say about calling me princess?
Eddie: To not call you princess because you are not a priss.
Me: So you do remember?
Eddie: Yes I do.
Me: Then why did you call me princess? ;)
Eddie: Because you are as beautiful as a princess and in my eyes, you are a princess.
Me: It's going to stick isn't it?
Eddie: Damn right.
Me: Well, If I am a princess, that means you are my prince.
Eddie: Yes I am.
Me: In that case, I will see you at work my handsome prince.
Eddie: Love you.
Me: Love you too.
