Voice recording of Reagan Dufrene and Albert Penn's therapeutic session.
Shuffiling is heard in the corner of the room along with a few coughs.
"Reagan, please take a seat." Penn's voice says and the sounds of someone sitting ontop of a cushion is heard in the distance.
"So, tell me how you are feeling today." Penn says. There is no sounds for a while.
"Confused." Dufrene says hoarsely, the sound of uncertainty is strong in her voice.
"Why?" Penn shoots back, shifting in his seat.
"Because I have scars I have no memory of making," she says, this time her voice is stronger.
"This is why you are here, Reagan, if you keep searching your mind for that memory, you'll find it. It's in there somewhere, you just have to find it." Penn tells her, there is another silence.
"I can't, it's not there. It's like someone robbed me of it." she says.
"You robbed it yourself. Sometimes people go through something so traumatizing, their brain steals that memory of it. Sometimes its better not to remember." He told her.
"Then why do you want me to find these memories so bad?" she asked him, Penn remains silent.
"Dr. Penn, my parents are missing. They most probably left after I came here. I can understand. They moved on, it's time for me to do the same." she said and Dr. Penn stayed silent once again.
"Do you really think your parents would move on so easily? Abandon you here at this hospital?" Penn asked her.
"Yes. Of my memory of them, they were selfish." Dufrene shot back. Penn sighs and the scratching of a pen is heard.
"You know, I was talking to your aunt last week about your parents and she told me they were actually overprotective of you." Penn told her.
"My aunt hasn't been around for years. She doesn't know anything." Dufrene says scornfully.
"That is possible." Penn tells her.
"Can I leave now?" Reagan asks dismissively.
"If you wish." There was a jerking of a doorknob then a slam and then a sigh.
"Dr. Penn?" another voice came from behind the door after a few minutes.
"Yes?" he said, after getting up to open the door.
"Nurse Johnson told me you were free." the girl says.
"Yes, do you need to talk with me about something, Callie?" Penn asks. Callie Welsh is another patient of Albert Penn.
"No, I was just wondering." she says then leaves without another word.

Author's Note: This was a snippet of a voice recording of a session with Reagan and Dr. Penn. This is also VERY important. Confusing? Yes! (:
