James sat on the bench, waiting for his friends to join him on the platform. His parents stood behind him, quietly talking to each other.
        "James!"
James looked up and saw Sirius. Reggie stood behind him, stopping as Sirius came closer to James. He stood near his luggage, and glanced over at James.
"Sirius!" James quickly ran toward him, smiling as Sirius waved excitedly.
"How was the rest of your break?"
    "It was alright. You?"
    "I survived," Sirius said dramatically.
Before James could respond, he saw Remus walking towards them, dragging his luggage behind him, followed by Peter, who was eating candy.
"Hey Remus!" Sirius ran towards him and helped him with his luggage. James watched as they talked, and then glanced over to see Reggie still standing by himself. He looked a lot different then he did the last time James had seen him; he was a little taller, and his hair had grown out a little bit, which looked nice. His eyes stared straight ahead at the train, which was just pulling up to the station.
"What are you looking at?" Sirius asked, looking at James.
"Nothing," James quickly said. "Let's get on the train."
He grabbed his suit case and followed his friends on the train, but he was still thinking about Reggie. He just looked so different this year, like he was older, but also a little sadder.
The train ride was as entertaining as it had always been; James joked around with Sirius, Peter bought everyone candy, and Remus tried to read his book. Even Lily Evans stopped by there compartment to say hello.
Lily was very pretty, with long, dark red hair, and green eyes. She was friends with a lot of James's friends, but her best friend was Remus. James had always liked her, but nothing really more then a friendship way.

When they finally got to school, they all piled in to the great hall. Sirius and Remus sat next to each other, and James glanced at Peter, who was smiling and nodding. The year before, they both had noticed that something was going on with there two friends, but they had never mentioned it to them.
After listening to Mcgonogall give her annual, long, speech, Sirius jumped up and started to head for there dorm.
"You guys go," James said. "I'm going to find some food for the dorm."
He walked over to where the first years had been sitting, and saw a bag of cookies, and grabbed them. He knew that Hogwarts always gave snacks to the younger kids.
As he started to go to his dorm, he heard something moving around in the hall. It was quiet, and James could tell that whatever it was, it was small.
    "Hello?"
He heard something crash, then turned around to see a small white cat standing behind him. He slowly went towards it and picked it up.
"What are you doing down here?"
The cat just meowed, and James pet its head.
    "Sorry about that."
James quickly turned to see Reggie standing behind him.
"That's my cat, Neige," he explained. "She got loose."
"Oh. Here you go." James held out Neige.
"Thanks," Reggie said as he grabbed her. He paused. "How are you?"
    "Good. How was your summer?"
Reggie frowned for a second. "It was alright." He smiled. "But I did read this really fascinating book about the stars and planets and stuff. I want to go back to the astronomy tower and see if I can see another planet from there, because last year we only looked for stars."
"We can go tomorrow, if you want. To the astronomy tower."
"That would be great," he said, still smiling. "See you tomorrow."
James watched as Reggie walked out, then quietly said, "See you tomorrow."
