Robin came home two days after being moved from the ICU. After an argument, Regina agreed to stay home and rest for the twins' sake while Will and Robin's parents went to get him from the hospital. Regina was antsy from the moment they left until they returned, afraid something would happen and Robin wouldn't come home at all. She told herself that she was just making herself worry about worst-case scenarios that would never happen, which was not good for the Beans.

But she was very relieved when Will and John helped him into the living room. She was unable to rise from the couch to greet him but it didn't matter as they sat him down next to her. Robin wrapped his arm around her, holding her close as he kissed her forehead. "It's good to be home," he murmured.

"It's so good to have you home," she replied, taking a deep inhale. While there was the lingering anti-septic smell of the hospital, she could still detect his usual woodsy scent and that was comforting to her. It reassured her that he was really there.

Roland entered the room, holding his grandmother's hand. Though his eyes lit up, he hesitated to join them on the couch. "Are you okay, Papa?" he asked.

"I am," Robin assured him. "But you know what will help me feel even better? A hug from my boy."

Smiling, Roland hurried onto the couch and climbed on it, hugging his father. "I'm glad you're home."

"I'm glad I'm home too," Robin said, holding his son tight. He cupped the back of his head, closing his eyes as he gently rocked with Roland.

It brought tears to Regina's eyes and she leaned closer to them, resting her head on his shoulder. They were all together again and that made her very happy.

"Now that you're home, can we put up the Christmas tree?" Roland asked, his voice slightly muffled.

Everyone chuckled and Robin kissed his forehead again. "How about we put it up tomorrow? I'm still tired from the hospital but I think a good night's sleep will definitely help," he said.

"Okay, Papa," Roland said, sliding down until he was sitting next to his father. He leaned against him, happy.

Regina took Robin's other hand and placed it on her stomach so he could feel the twins' kicking. "I think they want to say they are glad you are home too," she said.

He smiled, nodding. "I think so too. And I'm really glad I'm home too. I can't wait to sleep in our bed, next to you in absolute darkness and silence."

"Are you sure about sleeping with me? I can always move to another bedroom," she replied, worried about hurting him or doing something to set back his healing accidentally. With the twins almost at term, they were getting short on space and constantly moving, which meant she was constantly trying to find a comfortable position. There was also the matter that one or both were sitting on her bladder, so she was often going to the bathroom now. She worried he wouldn't be able to get any sleep due to her constantly moving the bed. It was bad enough she couldn't get much sleep.

She couldn't wait to give birth.

"Yes," he said, his voice strong and sure. "I just spent about three nights away from you. I'm not going to spend any more."

"I don't want to hurt you or set your recovery back," she told him, taking his hand.

He shook his head. "You won't. Trust me."

"Alright," she said. "But if tonight you don't get a good sleep, promise to tell me in the morning so we can figure it out."

"Okay," he replied reluctantly. But it pleased her and she kissed his cheek, thanking him in a soft tone. She rested her head on his shoulder and he held her closer as their family gathered around them. Chatter filled the room but she closed her eyes, just taking in Robin's presence.
