"Natasha, I could really use a lullaby," Tony's voice crackled through the radio system.

"That's not going to happen, not for a while," Clint replied. "You're not going to find any here. Whole team's down."

I walked over to the radio system and hit a button. "Can I help, Clint?" At first, I wasn't sure if I hit the right button. There were so many of them and none of them were labeled.

But then Clint's voice came out of the radio, "Help me get them back to the jet," which was followed by instructions as to how to reach him

The inside of the abandoned ship was a mess. People lying all over the place and the metal bits of walls and stairs scattered amongst them. I found clint with Natasha on a short set of stairs.

"Take Nat," Clint said. "I'll get the boys."

I could see Steve and Thor laying on the ground struggling. They looked like injured turtles rolling around on their backs. When Natasha looked at me, I could tell she wasn't really seeing me. She was seeing whatever it was Wanda was making her see. I wondered if it was a memory pulled from deep inside Nat's mind, or some sort of vision Wanda put in her head. Maybe it was a bit of both. I only understood Wanda's powers as far as the comics, and even then I didn't know much about them. Her powers were of the soft kind; the kind of powers that weren't really explained well but made sense in the context of the story if you didn't think too hard.

I took Natasha's arm and put it over my shoulder and made my way out of the bad guy's hide out. In the distance I could hear explosions. Smoke and dust puffed into the air over the city. My stomach twisted into knots knowing it was Bruce out there probably hurting people and that Tony was the only one who had any hope to stop him.

"Clint?" Natasha whimpered next to me.

"No, it's Mavis," I said. "I'm getting you to the jet. It's going to be okay."

I helped her into the jet and sat her down in one of the seats. Her head lolled back against the wall and she shut her eyes. Behind me I heard Clint yell.

"Thor's gonna fall," He said. "But I think Steve's doing alright."

I went back outside. Clint had Thor's arm over his shoulder and one arm around his waist to support him. Steve was attempting to wander away, but he was walking by himself, at least.

I took Steve by the hand. "Just a little further, Cap," I said as I lead him into the jet.

I tried to get him to sit down across from Natasha, but he ended up slipping off the seat and onto the ground. Thor didn't even try to sit in a seat, he just went straight for a container that held supplies like first aid and extra weapons.

"How did she not get you?" I asked.

"I did the whole mind control thing once," Clint said. "Wouldn't recommend it." He looked at Nat, his face softening. "She doing okay?"

"About as good as the other two, I guess," I said.

I walked over to Thor and helped him onto the floor so I could get into the container. Inside I found water bottles, blankets, and over the counter pain killers.

"Do you think they can take pain killers?" I gestured at Thor and Steve.

Clint shrugged. He was sitting down next to Natasha, one hand on her shoulder. "Not sure. I know Steve can't get drunk, but I don't know what that means for meds. And Thor can only get drunk with Asgardian alcohol because regular human alcohol isn't strong enough for him."

I looked down at the bottle of pills. "Maybe we'll wait on pills."

I put the bottle back and only took out some water. I also found some blankets and figured they would be nice to have, too.

As I covered Thor with one of the blankets, I noticed he was taking a little longer to wake up than Natasha and Steve. There was this red haze in his eyes; Natasha and Steve had it, too, but it wasn't as strong. I took Thor by the chin and felt a tingle in my fingers. The red haze in Thor's eyes disappeared. I saw it glimmer on my fingers before melting into my skin. I took my hand back and looked at him.

"What happened?" Thor asked, looking at me. "Where's Ultron?"

"He got away," I said quietly. "This is for you." I handed him a bottle of water.

"Thank you, Mavis," He said, looking down at the bottle. "Your kindness is appreciated."

I stared at my fingers for a moment, wondering what had just happened, but then I pushed it out of my brain. I couldn't think about that now. Or I didn't want to, if I was being honest with myself. I didn't want to think about it. I didn't want superpowers. I didn't want to be in this world anymore. I wanted to go home to Eli.

Until then...

I walked over to Steve and gave him a blanket and a water bottle, too, careful not to touch his skin. He smiled at me, but it was a sad, confused smile. When I looked at Nat, she looked hollowed out, with dark circles cupping the underside of her eyes.

I handed her a water and a blanket.

"Thanks," She said to me.

"No problem." I sat down next to her. Clint was already up and getting the jet ready to fly.

Only a few minutes later Tony came back with a passed-out Bruce in his arms. Natasha made to stand up, but I put a hand on her shoulder to keep her down.

"I'll get him," I said.

She looked at me, then at Bruce and Tony.

Tony laid Bruce down on the ground. "Let's get out of here, Hawkeye," He said. "Before someone finds out he's here."

I dug around inside the container until I found an extra set of clothes for Bruce. At first I was shocked to find it, until I realized it made sense to have extra clothes for him. He as the one most likely to need an extra set.

"Prepare for take-off," Clint called over his shoulder.
