Part 15

The next morning, you woke up and smiled to yourself. His scent still lingered around. You went to work. You informed your HR team to appoint someone in place of Luna as you noticed that he was struggling. "Ms y/n, did you ask to appoint an assistant secretary?" he asked, entering your cabin.

"I did", you said. "They appointed one person, but-", he hesitated. "What's the problem?" you asked him. "You remember Yuna, right?" he asked. "Yuna, who?" you asked.

"Wait. Don't tell me that girl who ditched you on the aisle", you said. He nodded. "Mr Kim, this seems wrong", you crooked your eyebrows. "Are you jealous?" you chuckled.

"Are you serious, now?" you asked. "Why does she have to work here? Her father is running a reputed company. Didn't you tell me that she was fine working there?" you asked.

"You were right. It seems like her father didn't approve of her relationship. She was scammed by her boyfriend as well", he said. You let out a chuckle. "So, she is here", you said. He nodded. "What should I do?" he asked.

"It's not like we can fire her or something. Let her work", you said. He nodded and went out. You couldn't be at peace. "Why am I being jealous?" you were hitting your keyboard. You couldn't help but peek outside.

You went out of your cabin. She was talking with Taehyung. He was explaining the files. They both didn't notice you. "Thank you, Mr Kim", she said. "It's okay Ms Park. It's my job", he said.

"I am actually sorry about that day. I was not in the right mind and blinded by lies. He promised me that he would marry me and everything", she said. "It's in the past. You can start a new life", he said.

"I would like to buy you lunch or dinner someday. I don't know how to apologize", she said. He just smiled. "Don't smile like that", you screamed in your mind. "I realized that it would have been much better if I had married you that day", she said.

"Ahem", you cleared your throat. She bowed at you. She made a surprised face as she remembered you. "Do you want something, Ms Lee?" he asked you. "No. I am going to meet Jungkook", you said. He nodded.

You glared at him and walked away. He asked Yuna to get back to work. Taehee greeted you. You greeted back. "Where is Luna?" you asked her. "She is in a meeting at Mr Jeon's cabin", she said.

"Let me wait", you sat on the waiting couch. Your mind kept wandering about them. Luna came out after her meeting. "Oh! Ms  Lee. Are you here to see Mr Jeon? You can go in", she said.

"Y/n? What brings you here?" he asked you while you closed the door. You simply blinked. "Yah! Are you alright?" he asked you. "Ugh", you threw your hands and sat on his couch. "Keep working. Don't mind me", you said.

"Did something happen between both of you?" he chuckled. You explained what happened. "The girl is back. Interesting", he chuckled. "Enjoy", he laughed. "Yah! Why am I feeling like this?

I am scared that he will go back. They were engaged after all", you said. "Can you stop being paranoid?" Jungkook found you so funny. "By the way, there is a business party", he said.

"I am not going this time", you said. "We all should go. A lot of people are invited. Our company's major departments are invited so everyone should take part", he said. You clicked your tongue.

"The guest list has already been sent to our secretary. They will be sending the invitation", he said. "Is this party more important than my problem?" you asked. "Y/n ah you are jealous for nothing. He loves you.

It will not change over a girl who ditched him on an altar", he said. "Whatever", you said. "Just talk with him and clear the air", he said. "No. There's no need", you said.You were embarrassed to discuss it with him. You went back to your office.

"Ms Lee", Taehyung stopped you. "There is a party invitation. Are you attending it?" he asked you. "Jungkook said that we all need to attend", you said.

"When is the party?" you asked him. "Next weekend", he said. You nodded. "Are you okay? Shall I bring you coffee", he asked. "Okay", you sighed. "Is she really alright?" he thought to himself.

After some time, Yuna brought you the coffee. You tried not to spitfire. "Place the coffee and tell Mr Kim to come", you said. "I shall pass the information. What is Ms Lee?" she asked. "Tell Mr Kim to come inside", you glared at her.

"Oh! Okay", she said. Taehyung entered after a while. "You asked for me?" he asked. "Why did she bring my coffee?" you asked. "She volunteered to do so. I let her cause, Luna would also bring it for you", he said.

"I don't like her attitude", you said. "You heard our previous conversations, didn't you?" he asked. "I did", you crossed your arms. He took your coffee mug and placed it on the tea table.

He asked you to join him on the couch. You sat near him. "Have this before it cools down", he said. You looked at him. "Y/n, look what I show her is sympathy. My love towards you will never change", he said.

"I feel like I would lose you", you said. He chuckled. "I am not going anywhere", he cupped your cheeks. "If she crosses her line, I will surely kill her", you said. "Hey! Don't be mean", he said.

"Tell her not to behave like that then", you said, sipping your coffee. "I never knew that you had this side", he giggled. "Get out", you said, standing up. He pulled you into a warm hug.

"I am kind of happy to see you like this", he chuckled. You hit his chest but still hugged him back. He kissed your forehead. "I am getting greedy. I am having the urge to ask you to come home tonight as well", you said.

"Should I?" he asked, kissing your nose. "No, you should take a rest. Go home and spend some quality time", you said. He adores your understanding side. The day of the party arrived.

You arrived at the hotel. Jungkook, Taehyung and others were already there. Taehyung was by your side. You saw Yuna talking to some of your employees. "Taehee?" you asked him.

"She didn't come. She was so shy. Even Mr Jeon couldn't convince her", he said. You just smiled. Yuna greeted you and she was also sticking by your side.

"It's not necessary to be by my side always in a party", you tried to be nice. "Oh! Thanks Ms Lee. Mr Kim let's go", she caught his wrist and started walking. Before you could fume, Jungkook came by your side.

"Y/n ah, Jaymin is here. Don't lose your composure no matter what he does", he said. "I have my eyes on someone else today", you said.

Jungkook stayed by your side. You noticed that Taehyung was with a group of employees. He mouthed sorry to you. You just ignored it. He tried to talk to you but you kept ignoring him.

"Good luck, Mr Jeon. She will never calm down easily", Jungkook chuckled to him. Jaymin and your father were also at the party. "Our first priority is to keep them away from her", Jungkook said.

Even after the party got over you kept ignoring him. He even drove your car. You didn't utter a word. All he could do was sigh heavily.

You kept going inside yours despite his calls. "This won't work out", he barged into your house before you could lock. "Y/n ah! Stop ignoring me", he pinned you to the door.
