Sharing My Fragile Truth (Vmin)

For Taehyung, Jimin has been a constant in his  life. He is his only same age best friend. Their first meeting was nothing less of a drama. Jimin saw him in red underwear. Gosh! he still doesn't feel good about that. But that day when Park Jimin walked into the dorm and into his life and saw him in underwear, his heart skipped beat. And when Jimin's chubby cheeks coloured rosey, he died a little bit. Every time, Jimin would smile, his heart will leave his body and go to Jimin without Jimin knowing. They became best friends who fought a lot but still couldn't live without each other. Tae always thought he belongs to Jimin and Jimin to him. Jimin is his constant but the ending shows of 2017 and all his imagination broke down. When he saw Jimin on phone, smiling, laughing, giggling and blushing because of the person on the other end. For the first time, he felt Jealousy prickling his heart. But as long as he saw Jimin smiling, nothing mattered. Jimin's happiness meant the world to him. He was happy that Jimin was bravely fighting his inner demons of insecurities and he was doing good, so nothing else mattered.

They were practicing for their KBS stage. Jimin has been doing more practice than them as he had a special stage with Lee Taemin. Both of them spent a lot of time together for that special stage. All of the members were so happy and Taehyung was out if the world to see Jimin so happy especially when it comes to dancing. Though he was jealous of their interactions. Jimin spend a lot of time with Taemin, going on lunch, dinners and drinks. But he brushed it off as friendly interaction.

TAE: Min!

JIMIN: huh?

TAE: What's with the tough posture?

JIMIN: I- I am just nervous. What if I mess up?

TAE: Hey! You won't mess up. Jimin when it comes to dance, no body is more perfect than you are. I can tell you. It's dance, your favourite thing. Just calm down okay.

JIMIN: Yeah.

Jimin turns around and wraps his around his waist, head on his chest.

TAE: You are gonna do good, Angel.

JIMIN: Thank you for always believing in me.

TAE: I am always gonna believe you.

Tae planted a kiss on his nose and got the most beautiful giggle in the world to hear.

Jimin on stage always takes everyone's breath away. When he is in stage, your eyes only stays on his, he had that charm in him. Taehyung is so whipped that's why for him Jimin is the best. After the performance, Tae excused himself from his hyung and dongsaeng to see Jimin. He made his way to Taemin's dressing room but nothing could have prepared him for what he saw. There in Taemin's dressing room, his Jimin kissing Taemin on lips while the other caressed his face.

TAEMIN: Shit, I love you so much

JIMIN: I love you too.

Taehyung stepped back but got the other's attention. He just ran away even when Jimin shouted his name. The rest of the function was in blur. Jimin didn't came back for a long time and went with taemin later. Tae didn't even looked at him. He knew if he looked Jimin will see the love in his eyes and he didn't wanted it. The flowers that he wanted to buy so badly because he was gonna tell Jimin he is in love with him made him nauseous. He was late and Jimin chose someone else. Someone who was far better than him. He didn't cried that night thinking of what Jimin and his new lover would be doing. His Jimin, no, not his Jimin, Taemin's Jimin is out with his lover. Maybe they are having couple dinner or making love to each other in their own privacy and that one thought made him nauseous and empty his stomach. But he won't cry,, he won't break. Why life was so cruel to him? Why the one he love leaves him?

The next day in the company, Jimin looked nervous. He was fidgeting, couldn't make eye contact with him. Maybe he was embarrassed of how his best friend saw him.

JIMIN: Tae!

TAE: Hm

JIMIN: Are you mad at me?

TAE: (scoffs) Why? Why should I be mad at you?

Jimin's eyes teared up hearing Taehyung's voice. His best friend had never talked to him like this not even when they fought.

JIMIN: I-I am so....sorry. (sobbing)

Taehyung's facial expression changed from angry to soft in a second, the moment he saw Jimin in tears. He crossed the distance and cradled Jimin's face in his hands.

TAE: Hey Angel! Look at me. I am sorry. I shouldn't have gotten angry. Don't cry, please.

JIMIN: D-Do....Do you hate me because I like a guy?

TAE: No, Angel! I could never hate you. You can like anyone no matter which gender. I will still love you. You are my Angel. How could I ever be mad at you?

JIMIN: B-But you left, didn't talked. I thought.....

TAE: Noo. I-I.......ha! I left because I couldn't process everything. What should you had done if you find me like this? I wanted to process that I saw my best friend kissing someone and saying I love you. And I didn't knew. I just, you didn't told me.

JIMIN: I wanted to tell you. I thought after the show I will tell you. I didn't meant to hide. You know I can never hide anything from you and how could I not tell you about the biggest happiness in my life. I am sorry if I hurt you.

TAE: I am okay now.

JIMIN: Are you happy?

TAE: No, I am not. How could I. He wanted to say but choose instead Are you happy?

JIMIN: Yes! I am so happy. Taemin makes me so happy.

TAE: Then I am happy. Your happiness means the world to me.

JIMIN: I love you. You are the best.

TAE: Love you too.

Please Stay, don't go. The words left unsaid. Jimin never saw him like this. If only Jimin could see the love in his eyes then maybe he had stayed, maybe.

Jimin doesn't see the tears forming in his best friend's eyes, he doesn't see the clenched teeth and clutched hands. He is happy but unknown to him his best friend is breaking because of him. But Tae would never hate Jimin. Jimin's happiness comes first then his one sided love.

When the rest of members find out, they are shocked but they congratulate Jimin as long he is happy and he can maintain the privacy. Jimin feels strange when the boys look at him and then back at Tae but he dismisses it. Tae sees Namjoon looking at him sadly but he smiles at his hyung not to give away his shattering heart.

Later that night, he finally breaks down and Namjoon hugs him rocking him side by side. His heart hurts seeing their baby hurt. He never wants to see tear in those beautiful eye, Tae doesn't deserves them. All of the boy feels the same. They had always used to love and be affection with him because they know how soft hearted and sensitive he is. But to see their baby crying, breaks their heart. They always thought that they both had mutual feelings but maybe they were wrong to think Jimin ever loved Taehyung like that. Because if he did, he wouldn't have found love in other person.

Taehyung watches the dreamcatcher in his hands when a voice shouts his name

Taehyung-ah!

Yeah

Let's go

Coming Jiminie!.

Taehyung braces himself for the pain to come. Because now he had to live with the truth of Jimin being someone else. He had to live with his unrequited and one sided love all his life.
