Joy stirred in her sleep, unconsciously tightening her arm that was wrapped around Sungjae's waist, waking him.  Opening one eye, then the other, Sungjae saw that it was already morning.  Being awakened by Joy stirring in his arms has got to be the best kind of alarm clock, as far as Sungjae is concerned.  I wouldn't mind waking up like this every day, he thought.  Peeking at Joy's face, he still couldn't believe how lucky he was that she chose to be with him.  Careful not to wake her, Sungjae slowly detached himself from her embrace, got off the bed and headed to the shower.

Rubbing his hair dry as he stepped out of the bathroom, Sungjae was startled to see Joy sitting on the bed and staring at him with a naughty smile.

"Aish! And here I thought I'll get to see you shirtless again," Joy joked.

"Good morning to you, too, pervert!" Sungjae chuckled, kissing Joy on the forehead.  "I already learned my lesson so I brought my clothes with me to the shower," he added, pointing to his plain white shirt and shorts.  "I'll make breakfast. You want me to bring yours here?" he said.

"No. I'll just take a quick shower and join you in the kitchen," Joy replied.

"Okay. See you in a while," Sungjae said, stepping out of the bedroom to head to the kitchen.

Sungjae took out the eggs and bacon from the refrigerator and started cooking while he waited for the coffee to brew.  He couldn't help smiling while he cooked.  He was just too happy with how things turned out between him and Joy.  But he was also worried.  CUBE doesn't issue a dating ban on its artist, but he knows SME is a different ball game.  From what he heard, their talents are not allowed to date within five years of their debut.  And Red Velvet is only on its third year.  Joy would be in big trouble if SME finds out about them.  His worry eased when he felt Joy wrap an arm around his waist.

"You look so serious about that egg," Joy chided him.

"I just thought of something," Sungjae said, putting his arm around here shoulders before kissing the top of her head.

"Oppa. Why do you always do that?" Joy asked him.

"Do what?" Sungjae said, clueless.

"Kiss the top of my head or my forehead," Joy replied.

"Because I adore you. Because I respect you. Because... Well... Just because," Sungjae said.  He wanted to say because I love you, but it's too early in their relationship for that kind of declaration and Joy might not be ready to hear it, so he stopped himself.

"I know that. But don't you want to kiss me here?" Joy asked, pursing her lips.

"Of course I do," Sungjae sniggered.  "But, Sooyoung, just because I'm your boyfriend, it doesn't mean I can just grab and kiss you on the lips anytime I want. I also need to consider whether you want to be kissed like that or not," he explained.  "I told you, I'll let you set the pace of our relationship. At least, for now," Sungjae added.

"Okay. So if I want to be kissed like that, I'll do this," Joy said, before giving him a quick peck on the lips.

"Then I'll do this," Sungjae responded, pulling her tighter to him and kissing her deeply.  He broke the kiss when the coffee machine beeped, indicating that the brew is ready.

"I'll make coffee," Joy said, pulling out of his embrace, her face slightly flushed.  Sungjae gave her another brief kiss before letting her go and turning his attention back to the stove.  Sitting across each other, they shared the scrambled eggs and bacon Sungjae prepared.  "What?" Joy said as she felt Sungjae staring at her.

"Why are you so pretty?" Sungjae asked her, making here blush.

"I'm not pretty. Irene unnie is the pretty one. I'm cute," Joy replied.
