After their first meeting, BTOB and Red Velvet continued to meet in events and variety shows.  The two groups became friends and all the members are comfortable with each other.  All, except Joy and Sungjae.  Sungjae is relaxed around his Red Velvet noonadeul, especially with Irene, and their new member, Yeri.  Joy, on the other hand, grew close with her BTOB oppadeul, particularly with Eunkwang and Changsub.  But Sungjae and Joy avoided each other like the plague.  Joy kept her distance from Sungjae as much as possible, while Sungjae always give Joy a wide berth when being in the same room is inevitable.  This became the norm between their groups and both Red Velvet and BTOB members had gotten used to it.  As if fate was playing a joke, Sungjae and Joy were chosen to do the VCR promo for DMC K-Pop Super Concert in September.

"Omo! What should I do, unnie? Should I tell them that I can't do it?" Joy worriedly asked Irene.  She just found out that she would be doing the VCR promo with Sungjae.

"There's nothing you can do, Joy. SME has already agreed," Irene told her.

"And it's not as if we can refuse any project SME gives us. We're still rookies," Wendy reminded Joy.

"I'm scared, unnie. What if I keep making mistakes? Sungjae-ssi will get mad at me, for sure," Joy confided.

"Just do your best, Joy. I know you can do it," Seulgi said in encouragement.

"Don't worry, unnie. I'm sure Sungjae oppa will take care of you," Yeri added confidently.

I hope you're right, Yeri, Joy prayed silently as she went to the bedroom she shares with her.  Despite her members' words of support, Joy can't shake off her worries.  Sungjae has already acted on a few drama, and she knows that he is a good actor.  And she fears that she might not be able to keep up with him.  I just have to make sure to do well, she vowed to herself.  "FIGHTING, JOY!" she cheered herself on, before flopping on the bed.

Meanwhile, back at BTOB's dorm, the boys are relaxing in their living room having just finished eating dinner.  Coming back inside from the balcony, Changsub sat beside Sungjae.  He just got off the phone with Irene who asked him if Sungjae is really doing the VCR promo.

"So, maknae. The Super Concert promo has been finalized?" Changsub casually asked.

"Yes, hyung. Manager hyung told me the other day," Sungjae re-confirmed.

"He said you're doing it with a female idol," Minhyuk remarked.

"Any idea who it might be?" Ilhoon asked innocently.

"Hyung! You all know the details as well as I do. Stop making me feel like I'm some kind of an idiot. Just tell me what you want to say," Sungjae snapped.

"We're very sorry, Sungjae. We're just a little worried for Joy," Peniel apologized.

"This is Joy's first time to do a VCR, so be a little patient with her if she makes mistakes," Hyunsik appealed to him.

Here we go again, Sungjae thought, mentally rolling his eyes.  He abruptly stood up and faced his hyungdeul.  "I'm not gonna bite her head off for some stupid mistake. So, there's no need for all of you to worry because your precious hoobae is safe from me," he said sarcastically.  "Do you think I'm an ogre? You know me better than that," he grumbled before stomping towards his room.

"Calm down, Sungjae," Eunkwang said, grabbing his arm to stop him.  "Sorry if we doubted you for a moment. We should've known you wouldn't be irrational. We know we can count on you to take good care of Joy," he told him.
