Being the pack breeder was really great...or at least I thought it was. Spirit got me pregnant first. I had 5 pups. The first was a male named Atlas. He was black just like me, but with brown eyes, like his dad.

The 2nd wolf pup was a female. Her name was Blaze. She was a rare wolf. She was a yellow wolf.

The 3rd wolf pup was Shadow. A male wolf pup that has straight black fur and yellow eyes, like me.

The 4th pup was called Axis. He had straight white fur and brown eyes, like his father.

The 5th wolf pup was named Moo Moo. She had a combination of my black fur and her father's white fur. She had the cutest pink nose. She had different color eyes. Her left eye was yellow. Her right eye was brown. She was the cutest pup ever.

I remember she asked me what I asked my mother when I was her age. "Mother, what is a pack breeder." Moo Moo asked me. I sat and thought a little. Memories of my mother danced in my head. "A pack breeder is a female wolf divinely chosen by their alpha," I answered my daughter's question.
"What do they do?" My son, Atlas, asked me.
"They give birth to puppies, then she raises them until they are 8 weeks old," I answered Atlas's question.
"What happens to them at 8 weeks old?" Shadow asked me.
"They leave their mother and go to their father," I answered.
"Why?" Moo Moo asked me.
"So their father can raise them and the pack breeder can give birth to other pups," I said.
"Who is our father?" Shadow asked.
"Who was your father?" Blaze asked me after Shadow asked a question.
"Well, for Shadow's question, your father is Spirit, the alpha of this pack. For Blaze's question, my father was Balto. The pack messenger." I answered.
"What is the pack messenger?" Axis asked.
"What is an alpha?" Shadow asked after Axis
"What rank will we become?" Moo Moo asked after Shadow.
"A pack messenger makes alliances with other packs, Axis, an alpha is the most important role in the pack, the lead everyone as well as protect everyone, Shadow, your father will pick one of you for a future alpha, one of you for future beta, and one of you for future omega, Moo Moo," I answered all their questions.
"What is a beta?" Moo Moo asked.
"What is an omega?" Axis asked after Moo Moo.
"A beta is the 2nd in command. They lead the pack and protect it until the alpha returns. If the alpha doesn't return in a year, the beta will become alpha. Omega is the lowest rank in the pack." I answered.
"Why is an omega the lowest rank?" Asked Atlas. "They are the puppy sitters. Plus all the other ranks take their anger off the omega." I answered.
"But, why." My son, Shadow asked.
"There are only 5 of you and 1 of me pups. I can't answer every question at the same time." I chuckled.
"You pups ready to go?" Spirit asked.
"Nooooooo." Blaze complained.
"Do we have to?" Moo Moo asked.
"What were they doing?" Spirit asked me.
"Asking questions," Atlas said.
"Lots and lots of questions," I chimed in.
"Don't worry pups, I can answer all your questions. But now we need to announce the futures." Spirit said.
"I follow you out there," I said as I followed him.
"I have to announce the futures," Spirit said to every wolf.
"But before that, congratulations to Lucky's pups for being able to leave and come to me. Congratulations to Lucky for pulling through this. I know you didn't want to." Spirit announced. Most wolves looked at me and awed. "Next, the futures. Future alpha shall be-- You know what, Lucky, you announce the futures." Spirit said.
The beta of our pack, Karma, said "She can't do that! She is just a pack breeder."
"Well, she will, even if you like it, or not." Spirit snapped. "Sit next to me, Lucky." Spirit moved over and patted a spot next to him.
"Okay," I said. I came over, jumped on the rock Spirit was on, and sat right next to him. "The future alpha will be, Moo Moo," I announced. The wolves got really excited as my daughter came up and sat next to me and Spirit.
"She is too curious." Karma criticized.
"The future beta will be, Atlas," I announced. Once again, wolves cheered as Atlas sat next to Karma.
"He is too obsessed with water." Karma criticized again.
I and Spirit shot her a glair. "The future omega will be, Blaze." Wolves cheered and laughed as Blaze laid down.
"She is good, I suppose." Karma criticized a third time.
"I'm sorry beta, but can you stop?" I asked Karma.
"You can't tell me what to do. You're worthless. No use to this pack." Karma said. I then thought about that a little before running into my cave in tears.
"I wanna fight you, you dumb wolf." I heard Axis yell at Karma. Then I heard the rest of my pups jeering.
"Lucky, wait," Spirit called out to me. I couldn't hear him over the sounds of my own despair.
