Mikan fell backward in shock and fear. What the hell. She rubbed her eyes frantically and pinched herself, hoping that it was some type of nightmare. When she took a peek back into the toilet, she realized that it wasn't a nightmare.

She actually vomited out those flowers.

She quickly flushed them away, still trying to process what she had seen. She walked up to the sink and started washing her mouth, trying to get the taste of the flowers out of her mouth.

After rinsing, she went straight to her bed and stared at the ceiling. Being a doctor meant she knew each disease, sickness, etc, and this one. Oh, she knew it and had always feared it throughout her life. The disease?

Hanahaki.

There was a way to not die from this disease. If she had surgery done on her or had her feelings returned by (F/N). Mikan let out a sad laugh as tears started to prickle her eye and run down her cheeks.

There was no way Mikan wanted to do the surgery. She was afraid, no terrified, of the surgery because she didn't want to lose a feeling that was the key to happiness.

The extremely meek, paranoid, and fragile Mikan was going to die. And over what?

A girl. A girl who was her best friend ever since they meet. The girl who didn't seem to have the same romantic love towards her. And yet, Mikan didn't want to let (F/N) go because she loved her so much. The feeling of warmth whenever (F/N) smiled at her.

Even if it was slowly killing her.

Mikan wiped away her tears and knew that she would have to live with this painful disease until she dies or (F/N) returns the same feeling.

But, she decided that she didn't mind slowly dying over her beloved.

But even then, deep down inside, she still feared death.

But even then, deep down inside, she still feared death
