Dinner was awesome!! We had my favorite meal. Spaghetti. Which turned out to be Riley's too.
Riley.
She's beautiful, smart. But she could be selfish. What am I talking about I hate her. I'm Lucas Friar I don't settle for anyone.
I will admit she is beautiful and super smart and she and my little sister get along really well. Plus my parents adore her, but she could be selfish like I said before. Well we have to see today how she really is when we go to the village. The villagers have to see what their 'new Queen' will be like. Like I'm gonna marry her.
"Riley the carriage is ready." I say.
"Ok I'm ready." She says.
We get to the village and look around. We got to the market and there's a little girl crying.
"Mother I'll be right back." I say.
"It's ok I think she gots it." she told me. I turned around and Riley was carrying the little girl. She was talking to her and the little girl was laughing.
She took her to a stand and bought her a cookie, set her down, kissed her forehead and walked with her to the waiting mother.
I heard yelling and screaming.
I turned and a guard captured a teenage boy who was stealing apples. He was about 14 years old which is 4 years younger than Riley and I and I walked over.
"What happened?" I ask.
"Your highness this boy stole 3 apples from a stand." The guard said.
"Lock him up." I say. Let's see how Riley acts to this. If she agrees with me and goes along or has her own opinion about all this.
"Wait!" Riley says.
"Yes Riley?" I ask.
"I need to ask him some questions." she says.
"Ok go ahead." I say.
She walks over to him. "What's your name?" She asks.
"Rapha." He says.
"Ok Rapha why did you steal those apples?" She asks.
"My little brother and sister and I were left by my parents and the only way to get good is if I steal it" he says.
"Can you go with the guards and me please and we can get your brother and sister?" I ask.
"Are you gonna take them away from me?" He asks. Looking at Riley suspiciously.
"Of course not." she says.
"Ok." he says.
"I'm coming too." I say.
She turns around and smiles. "ok"
we walk down an alley that's dark and eerie. we get to a little shack looking type thing and I see 2 little kids in there. The girl looks 7 and the boy looks 4.
"Hi" Riley says and turns to Rapha. "what are their names?"
"The girl is Lealan and the boy is Roberto."
"Can you both come with me?" she says the kids look at the guards and shrink back.
"Can all of y'all go except Lucas, me, and Rapha?" She asks. The guards look at Rapha suspiciously. "It's ok I trust him and even if he tried to pull anything Lucas could take him."
"Of course your highness." they say.
"Please just Riley." she says politely.
"As you wish." then they walk away.
I look at her and smile. But she pretends not to notice me.
Then she sits down so I do too.
"Hi I'm Princess Riley." she says.
"I'm Leanlan." the little girl says.
"Correction your Princess Lealan." Riley says. "Wanna know why?" Lealan nods.
"Because we're best friends now, ok."
The little girl smiles. "ok."
Then Riley turns to Roberto.
"What's your name" she asks.
"Roberto" he squeaks out.
"What's your favorite animal?" She asks.
"Doggies!" He says.
She smiles. "You know what? I have a dog back in the carriage do you wanna see it?" She asks.
He smiles widely and shakes his head fast yes.
Riley helps Lealan out then holds her hand as she tries to help Roberto. But when he tried getting out he fell back down.
"He has a broken leg." Rapha says. "I got him." He picks him up but Roberto reaches for Riley. Riley takes him and we go back to the carriage. Then she puts him down and tells the guards to open the door to the carriage. Buttercup comes running out and ran straight to Roberto and Lealan. The children are smiling and laughing and playing, well Lealan and Rapha are playing and Roberto is laughing because that's all he can do since he's hurt. I look at Riley all she's doing is crying.
"Riley what's wrong?" I ask worried.
"Some kids aren't as lucky as us." she says.
"Do you have an orphanage in the village?" She asks.
"No." I say feeling bad.
"Are there any buildings here that are huge and aren't used anymore?" She asks.
"One..." I say trailing off.
"What's wrong with it?" She asks.
"It's really creepy."
"Well can you show me it?" She asks.
"Tonight that's the only time." I say.
She still is crying. I wrap my arms around her and she cries in my chest.
"Why don't we have Rapha,Lealan and Roberto stay the night at the castle?" I ask.
She looks up and smiles.
"Thank you" she says.
She kisses my cheek and goes and plays with the kids.
I can't keep my eyes off her she's too beautiful! She is amazingly smart!! And now she's caring!!!
Oh no. I've fallen for Princess Riley Matthews. And I like the feeling. No no no I can't I'll just hide my feelings and maybe they will go away.
