2015, present day, age eighteen
A little over a month after Age of UltronIt had been two days since Ashlynn woke up, and she had yet to see Pietro once. Sure, she had seen his blue blur zoom by her, but that was it.
She was currently lying sideways with her legs on Wanda's lap on the couch in the common area, watching a Disney movie. Her head shot up as she heard the now-familiar sound of Pietro entering a room, except this time, he didn't zoom right back out like he usually did.
As Ashlynn began to lift her head to look, Wanda picked her legs up and removed them off her lap, standing and exiting the room without a word. Ashlynn sighed and sat up, pausing the Disney movie, then turning to look at Pietro, who was rubbing the back of his neck.
"Hey, can we talk?" Pietro shifted on his feet, either from standing still or nervousness, neither of them could tell. Ashlynn nodded, patting the seat next to her.
Next thing she knew, Pietro was beside her on the couch and she turned to face him.
"First of all, I wanted to apologize." Ashlynn titled her head in confusion and he sighed before continuing. "I want to apologize for how I treated you growing up. I was a dick and you didn't deserve any of that."
Pietro paused, running a hand through his hair. "Second, I wanted to ask you a question."He paused again, and when she motioned for him to continue, he did so.
"Why did you jump in front of the bullets? You could have died, and you have so many more people that need you alive than me."
"I'll answer your question first. I jumped in front of the bullets because you are Wanda's brother. She'd be a lot worse off without you than anyone would without me."
Ashlynn would never admit it, but she was lying. She would have saved him even if he wasn't Wanda's brother. She would never admit it, but she didn't know what she would do without who used to be her best friend. And she would definitely never admit to the butterflies she felt when they kissed on the night they played truth or dare.
A ghost of a smile appeared across Pietro's face, even though his eyebrows were drawn in confusion as she continued. "I accept your apology, and personally, I think we should put our past behind us and start over. I don't want to hate each other anymore."
"I don't want to hate each other anymore either. What do you say to starting over as friends?"
"I think starting over as friends is a great idea." Both of them smiled as Ashlynn turned to the remote, a new idea popping in her head. "What do you say we finish this Disney movie?"

Wanda was standing in the doorway to the kitchen with Natasha, both of them smiling at the scene unfolding on the couch in front of them.
"They look cute together," Natasha whispered to the other red-head beside her.
"Yeah, they do. It's only a matter of time before they start dating." Wanda admitted, making sure to keep her voice low enough that neither her twin or her best friend would hear.
"I'm sure they'll take longer to get together than any of us would expect. For Ashlynn, childhood bullies, especially when it got as bad as it did for her, can be hard to get over no matter the circumstance or who they are."
Wanda grinned at Natasha before jumping slightly as Tony sneaked up behind them. Wanda smacked him in the arm, putting her other hand to her lips in a 'shh' motion.
Tony rolled his eyes and turned to look at both of the red-headed girls. "
Steve and Bruce already bet on how long they think it's gonna take. What do you guys think?"
