Peekablue's POV
He hoped she'd gotten the carrier pigeon. Those things are unreliable. The bigger concern was if she would actually go to the meeting spot. Then he would have to introduce Shadow Weaver. And Double Trouble. That was going to go down well."Are we nearly there yet?" He remained silent. Ignoring them would make the 'feelings' that he did not have go away. He also ignored the voice telling him that's not how it worked, because it is how it works.
"Did I do something?"
"No."
"You're lying."
"We're nearly there and I have a headache. I'd like some silence please."
"I know some great stress relievers. I can show you sometime when we no audience." Double Trouble's whispered smoothly into his ear.
He suddenly became very hyper aware of their warm breath on the side of their face. They had gotten very close. Their lips were so incredibly close to their skin. The tip of their tongue brushing the back of his ear.
As a jerk reaction he jabbed them hard in the stomach with his elbow."Ooooooowwwwww."
"I-um-sorry, automatic reaction?"
"Wow. You hit hard."
"Did you just jab them?" Wolcot butted in.
"...It was an accident."
Double Trouble's POV
Was he aware of how deeply purple his face was right now? Regardless, it was adorable as always.
It may not be a good idea to mess with him but they were bored and it was fun. Besides, it wasn't as if he had any feelings for them so it wouldn't really bother him that much.
They stopped and everyone got off Wolcot.
They could hear a faint buzzing. Itchy ears. Bees?"You have no idea how much I now owe Frosta for covering for me. What the hell do you need now? At the moment you're a wanted man." A familiar and very unwelcome voice erupted from the trees.
Sweet Bee fluttered down...followed by an army of bees. "I had a Vision that told me to ask you to help. This is less than ideal but you know...the Eye." Peekablue confessed tiredly. He was on edge.
Sweet Bee gave a heavy sigh. "Fine. If this gets me in any big trouble then you are taking the blame."
"That sounds fair."She brushed past him and faced Double Trouble. Unlike her ex she was completely transparent. Her posture showed she was insecure and didn't trust most people here. Her attitude was clearly covering up leftover feelings (either romantic or platonic) for Peekablue and lack of confidence in herself. Although her lack of confidence didn't mean that she didn't know exactly how powerful she is.
"You're the Double Trouble?" She gave a condescending flicker up and down them. "Catra really hates you. You're a traitor and a bad friend."
So Catra had been talking about them. They weren't quite sure how they felt about that. "
"Get over your grudge and clear lack of self confidence. No need to be jealous just because I have some. Whatever happened between me and Catra is none of your business." Her anger was hilarious and so satisfying.
The bees started to buzz frantically. Oops.
"Do you have to keep pissing the wrong people off??!!" Peekablue exploded, coming in between them. "Keep away from each other while I discuss things with Shadow Weaver." He sighed, exhausted. "Please?"Sweet Bee humphed and flew into the forest.
They couldn't be bothered with her anymore because now they just realised they had a bigger concern, their Prince was completely drained.
