Yoongi's pov~

Music was sweet and savory, a language anyone understands. Melodies and pieces were composed by prodigies to bring people together. Expressing emotions that even verbal and physical connections couldn't convey. However, lost my hearing at a fairly young age. I struggled with two language barriers going to the States: not many speak my native language and know how to utilize sign language. Then what was more universal than music? Numbers. I tested out my theory by using my calculator to start off a conversation with Eula-a girl I happened to have in most of my classes. With my minuscule social ability, I tried my best to conjure a conversation. Eula didn't seem to mind and helped me through my academic career better than anyone.

I got up when our last class before lunch. I strode to the 'B wing' where there was a worn-down music room. The piano was old and barely holding up, bearing cream-colored keys and decorated with pepper black ones too. This was my safe haven, the place I spent most. The soft plink and plunk of the keys filled me with ecstasy. I couldn't hear the sounds, but I envisioned every single movement of each key. I gently placed my sheet music onto the stand. Everything was so tranquil until I felt the piano move. I looked up and saw Eula, who looked flustered trying to pick up the knocked-over rusty music stands. To be frank, I was the one that was flustered. Trying to figure out whether I should speak in English or utilize sign language. Instead, I grabbed my calculator again and typed 0.1134. I watched as Eula's lips formed the words,

"H-e-l-l-o? Oh! Uh- Sorry about that." I watch as Eula tried pulling her lips into a tight smile. I decided to help with reorganizing the room just in case a stand was to be knocked over again. I made up my mind and finally uttered my first few words,

"It's okay, did you come here to pick up something?" I watched closely to read her lips.

"Ah- no. I actually came to see you."

"Oh... Did I happen to have something you need-." Before I could finish my sentence Eula nodded her head and then bolted out of the room. I was left there with assorted thoughts, I wasn't able to read her lips. I wonder what she was trying to convey. I rub my ears in frustration, again these pair of ears have failed me again.

I managed to make it to the next class. This time, Eula wasn't sitting beside me. I wasn't super concerned. However, I couldn't help but think that it was because of me. Maybe I failed to make a friend at this school, it's okay there's always tomorrow.
