Heidi POV
After I leave the Slytherins, I check the time. A few minutes to noon, and then lunch will start. I know Ron will be in the Great Hall - he never misses a chance to stuff his face. As people start filing in, I spy my brother making a beeline for Gryffindor table, Harry following close behind. I walk over to him. "Ron?" I ask. "Can I talk to you?" He nods. I wait until he realizes that I mean not in front of everyone. He gets up, and the two of us walk out of the Hall. "Who even are you?" Ron asks, a confused look on his face. I smile. "I'm Heidi Richards. I'm a Hufflepuff from your year." Ron looks puzzled. "Alright, but what do you want with me?" I sigh. "There isn't a delicate way to say it, but...I'm your twin sister." My twin frowns. "But I don't have a sister, and definitely not a twin of any kind!" I smile gently. "There's a whole long story to that, but if you want proof then owl your parents. Tell them it's about Ellie." He sighs. "Fine."
Ron POV
After Heidi and I talk, she heads off somewhere. I head back into the Great Hall for lunch. Afterwards, Gryffindor has Potions with Slytherin. I glower at the Slytherins who are all laughing and getting perfect marks thanks to Snape. When Harry and I's potion is pronounced a failure, I see Blaise Zabini smirk before whispering in his sister's ear. She rolls her eyes and grins. I turn my back on them, deciding instead to think about Heidi. Why did she tell me to use the name Ellie? I think. I sigh. I suppose I'll find it out when I write Mum and Dad.
Later I trudge up to the Owlery. I quickly find Errol, who's snoring. I wake him up and give the letter I wrote to him. It says:
Dear Mum and Dad,
We've had quite a few surprises around here of late. I'm sure you've read all about them. Although I think it's a shame those Deatheaters found their children. They would have been much more useful to the light side. But anyways, a girl by the name of Heidi Richards approached me earlier. She said that she's my sister and to write you about Ellie. I'm confused. What's happening? Please write back soon.
Much love,
Ron
I then send Errol off to the Burrow. Once he's gone, I head back into the castle and to my dormitory.
Ariana POV
It's been a week since Heidi told us about her family. She's been hanging out with us every day, and I personally think that my brother rather fancies her. He's always blushing and muttering curses in Italian (which I'm slowly learning, the Zabini family does have Italian roots after all) whenever he messes up in her presence. It's quite amusing to watch, actually. It's Friday after lessons, and we're all sitting in a courtyard. I'm gossiping with Heidi when Ron and Mr. and Mrs. Weasley enter the courtyard. Heidi goes pale. Kayla, Cayden, and Cole do too, but for a different reason than Heidi.
Mrs. Weasley spies Heidi and starts crying. Heidi awkwardly gets to her feet and starts walking until Mrs. Weasley launches at her and squeezes her in a hug. "Oh, Ellie! My darling, darling baby girl!" she sobs. Heidi smiles. "Hi Mum. It's nice to meet you..." she says, trailing off. Mr. Weasley spies his former adoptive children and comes over to us. He looks at them, and quietly asks, "Are you happy?" When they all nod mutely he returns to his family. We watch as Ron hugs his twin for the first time, remembering when we had that experience of hugging our lost siblings. Eventually Ron and his parents head back into the castle, and Heidi stays behind for a moment to talk to us. "Are you going to change your name?" I ask. She nods. "I think I am." With that she slips into Hogwarts with the rest of us watching. Blaise sighs. "Shame, really. Now I'll have no hope of scoring a trip to Hogsmeade with her." The girl in question pops back around the corner with a smirk. "I heard that!" she singsongs. Blaise blushes and curses in Italian. I smirk. "Go on, talk to her," I whisper. "Would you l-like to g-go to Hogsmeade w-with m-me?" My brother stammers. She considers. "Sure, why not?" Blaise regains his cool. "It's a date. See you around...Ellie Weasley." She grins. "Later, Zabini."
Wow! An update! Nobody saw that coming...lol. Feel free to send me to author jail for not posting anything in forever. I deserve it to be honest. Anyways, what did you think? Let me know! Word count was about 800 words.
