Draco's POV

Every time I think about catching Theo and Ari in the garden kissing at the holiday ball, my blood starts to boil. They looked so happy, so in love...and while Theo is one of my best mates, I wish it were me that had kissed Ari. As the dreary days on January chug past, I think about how I could win Ari over. An idea forms in my mind; a cruel, awful idea. I smirk to myself. On the first of February, Ari gets a letter. It's in Theo's handwriting. It reads:

Granger,

Did you really think I'd fall for that I'm-a-pureblood act? Once a mudblood, always a mudblood. We're over-not that we ever were a thing to begin with.

                                                                                                                                                 Theodore Nott Junior

I had written the letter and charmed it to have Theo's handwriting. I gave it to his owl to deliver. Now if all goes according to plan, she'll kiss me on Valentine's Day...right where Theo can see it to seal the deal that they will never love each other again.

Ariana comes into the common room sobbing. Theo immediately goes to comfort her. Blaise is out serving a detention for pranking some Gryffindors that teased some first-year Slytherins. McGonagall caught him pranking her house and punished him. Kayla is on the Quidditch pitch, where the other girls are watching her. The other boys are probably out looking for Gryffindors to insult or Slytherins to help. As Theo goes to hug Ari, she pushes him away. "Ari, what's wrong?" he asks. She glares. "You know what's wrong, Theodore. And why are you acting so concerned now after you broke up with me by letter and called me a mudblood?" Theo is taken aback. "What?" She's still glaring at him. "Oh, don't tell me you've forgotten that letter you sent me?" She thrusts the letter in his face. "Your handwriting." He reads it and looks back at her. "Ari...I didn't write this." She rolls her eyes. "Sure." Ari then proceeds to storm out of the common room. Theo sinks down onto a sofa, bewildered. I follow after Ari. By the time I reach the hallway, she's gone, but I have a good idea of where she is. Walking into the library, I see her reading a book and blinking back tears. I sit down next to her. "Are you okay, Ari?" I ask. "That was horrible of Theo to do that." She takes a shuddering breath in. "I'll get over it," she says unconvincingly, and I give her a look. "Hopefully." She adds.

A week passes, and Ariana refuses to so much as look at Theo. If he enters a room, she leaves it or moves as far away as possible. A job well done, really, I think to myself every time it happens. Though I feel bad, the fact that Ari and I are getting...well, let's just say a lot  closer. On Valentines Day, there's going to be a Hogsmeade weekend, and I'm going to ask her to go with me. If all goes well, we'll be snogging by the end of the day!

Time Skip to Valentines Day

Ariana's POV

Draco asked me last week if I would go to Hogsmeade with him, and I said yes. He's been so comforting to me since Theo betrayed me like that. We actually both have a lot in common. We both love books, are constantly at the top of our class, find the Dark Arts fascinating, prefer cats to owls, and think Potter is so full of himself. And that's just the top five! Today I'm deviating from the normal and wearing an adorable spaghetti strap red dress with a sweetheart neckline that falls just above my knees. The skirt flares out a little at the waist, and also shows off my slim waist. I'm wearing strappy silver heels with a silver locket with my initials, AZ, on it, and tinkly silver bangles as well as some silver snake earrings. My hair is pulled up in an elegant updo with with a few strands framing my face. There's a red rose tucked into the bun and some diamonds on a nearly invisible headband sitting on my hair like a crown. The whole effect is rather romantic - fitting, I suppose, since it is Valentines Day.

Draco escorts me down to Hogsmeade. Once there, we go to Madam Puddifoots. It's decorated for Valentines Day. We order tea and scones, and they are soon delivered. This outing is feeling a bit like a date, but I surprisingly find that alright. Draco has really been so wonderful to me lately. Plus, unless you're asking a Gryffindor (and even then some might still say it), Draco is undeniably hot. I mean, just LOOK at him! Blonde hair, platinum grey eyes, and plump, kissable lips. I blush. Stop thinking about that, Ari! I chide myself. You just had your heart broken by Theo, remember? This is something Hermione would have done-thought about her heartbreak, I mean, not go on a date with Draco or think about

The trip is absolutely perfect. Before heading inside, Draco and I go to the lake. We walk around and talk for a bit, and when we pause Draco turns to me, grabs my face, and kisses me hungrily. I give in, relenting to the magical kiss. We break for air, and see Theo out of the corner of our eyes. He looks straight at me. "Ari. I found out who wrote that fake letter." I'm stunned. "Wh-h-o?" I stutter. Theo's gaze shifts to Draco.

"You just kissed him."

Ooh.... Draco's in trouble! How do you think Ari will react? Let me know in the comments! Also, I know that I am a horrible author for not updating, thank you guys for being so patient! Word count was about 950 words. Bye bookworms!
