Chloe was just an ordinary girl, or so she thought. On her sixteenth birthday her parents told her the truth. She was left on their door step in a basket with a note. Now she must find out where she really comes from and who her parents really are...
Chloe woke up the next day on the floor her eyes still red from crying last night. The night keeps replaying in her head. She sat up and grabbed her phone. She texted Nick not to come walk with her today. She then got up put on a black hoodie with ties put her hood over her head and put on her black and white Jordan's and put her necklace on the one she got yesterday. She was ready for school she looked at her bed the note still in the place she left it. She grabbed it and stuffed it in the pocket of her hoodie then grabbed her back-pack and quickly left before her "parents" could see her or say anything to her. She slowly walked to school once she got there she kept her head down walking to class trying to avoid being seen by everyone especially nick. She would sit in class with her hand in her pocket touching the note not yet opening it. She could hear muffled noises
Mr Hernandez(science teacher): "Chloe" he said "Chloe"! He repeated louder.
Chloe snapped out of it
Chloe: "huh"?
Mr Hernandez: "can you tell us what's the coldest planet in our solar system"?
Chloe: "uh" she said nervously
Mr Hernandez: "c'mom it's not hard"!
Chloe: "uh". She said feeling nervous and began to feel as if she was going to cry
Random student: " Uranus " the student said
Mr Hernandez: "thank you Chloe". He replied looking at Chloe
The class laughed. Mr Hernandez proceeded to teach and Chloe took a couple of breaths.
The rest of the day Chloe tried her best to avoid nick turning the other way every time she saw him in the hallway with his friends. She finally made it to the end of the day. Just the nick spotted her.
Nick: "Chloe hey"!
Chloe stopped in her tracks
Chloe: "crap". She said
Chloe turned around trying to hide her eyes from nick
Nick: " hey, you okay" nick said looking her her concerned. "Why are you hiding your eyes"?
Chloe sighs
Chloe: " I'm not". She said "I'm fine". She added
Nick looks at her eyes realizing she's been crying.
Nick: "your lying, you've been crying, is that why you've been avoiding"? He said concerned "did someone hurt you"?
Chloe: "no, Nick please"! She relied.
Nick: " please, Chloe tell me what's wrong". He said remorsefully.
Chloe: " fine, I uhm it's hard to say". She said trying to hold back tears
Nick: "you can tell me anything". He replied looking at her.
Chloe: " my parents, yesterday, uhm, they told me I was adopted" she said swallowing her pain down
Nick: " oh Chloe, I'm so sorry". He said as he hugged her.
Chloe: "yeah, they said my parents just left a note, I haven't opened it yet. She said as she pulled the now crumpled up piece of paper out of her pocket and handed it to nick.
Nick would grab the paper and open it
Nick: " it looks like directions somewhere". He said
Chloe: "nothing else"? She asked him
Nick: "no, nothing else". He replied
Chloe grabs the note looking at it.
Nick: " I say let's follow it c'mon" he said while grabbing Chloe's hand and the note not giving her a choice and looks at the map beginning to follow it.
Chloe tried pulling back but nick has her hand tightly. Soon they find themselves deep in the woods near mountains, no civilization in sight and the sun was setting
Chloe: "nick why are we here".? Chloe said kind of scared being that they were in the middle of no where
Nick: "this is where the map said to go". He replied
Nick soon stopped and the found themselves in front of a rock wall.
Nick: " this is where the map says to go". He said
Chloe: " well what do we do now"? Chloe asked in response
Nick started to feel around the wall as Chloe looked on the floor. She noticed a rock that was stuck to the ground that had the same shape of her necklace in it.
Chloe: " nick look"! She said pointing at the rock.
Nick looked at the rock then looked at Chloe's necklace. Chloe then took her necklace off placing it in the spot of the rock. A perfect fit. Just then part of the rock wall started to open up until it made a cave entrance. Chloe and Nicks jaw dropped then Chloe shook her head coming to, grabbing her necklace putting it around her neck.
Nick: "Let's go"! He said grabbing Chloe's hand turning on his flash light and walking into the cave looking around.
Suddenly one light on the cave wall turns on showing a power switch. Chloe turns the power switch and all the lights turn on. They keep walking and come to the end of the long cave hallway into another cave room that had a door to enter it.
Chloe: "should we go in"? She asked
Nick: "what's stopping us now"? He relied
Chloe looks a Nick then opens the door. They walk in the room and Lights turn on revealing the room filled with different swords, knives, weapons, different training suits, then in the middle of a big wall in the cave there was a computer built into the wall with a little panel in front of it. Chloe and Nick looked around amazing and confused. They both turnt their attention to the big computer. Then looked at each other as if to ask one another "what is this place".
