Monday morning

"Eddy"

"Brett."

"So, Bradleigh wasn't suspended."

"She wasn't?"

"No, I spoke to the Deputy."

"...Brett, why do I get a feeling I'm getting an extremely digest version of what went on?"

"..okay you got me there, Eddy. The boy that Bradleigh slammed made a threat to harass Edwin because he's still physically a she."

"OMFG, whoops, sorry."

Bret smirked.

"Edwin couldn't bring himself to tell the Deputy nor at the police interview till I asked him questions."

"OMG.. it almost scares me how much hate there is in this..."

"I know.."

Morning Roll Call time

"Edwin."

"Brettany."

"Wait for me here in your roll call classroom, okay? I'll come back here and we're gonna walk together to maths class okay?"

"OMG I thought you were just following me to my roll call because we were talking. You don't need to chaperone me as if I'm a 4 year old!!"

"Just shut up and wait for me already, okay? Sir!!! Mr Chen!!!"

"Brettany? What's up?"

"Mr Chen, I'm walking with Edwin to maths after roll call. Will you please make sure he stays with you till I get here?"

"...Sure. I teach my first period class here anyway. So I just have to make sure Edwin doesn't leave without you, yeah?"

"Yes please, thank you. So, Edwin !! Don't go without me, okay??"

"OMG. Fine."

After roll call

"Welcome back Brettany. Well, he ain't too happy but he's here waiting for you."

"Thank you, Mr Chen. Oh, Edwin will you please stop pouting!! Let's go. Bye, Mr Chen!"

"Bye sir."

"See you two."

Eddy said his greetings to Brettany and Edwin as they left his classroom as Eddy clicked his mouse on his desktop PC in preparation for his first period class.

But Eddy had a bad feeling. Maybe he was overreacting because he had just heard from Brett that morning what had happened to Bradleigh and what threats were made towards Edwin.

"Good morning sir, may we come in?"

It was his period 1 Year 7 students outside the classroom. Eddy got out of his seat.

"Actually, hang on a second.. can you all line up nicely outside the classroom, in two lines please."

Eddy left the classroom, closing the classroom door behind him.

"I'll be right back."

Brettany didn't think those Year 11 boys were THAT stupid.

Unfortunately, they were.

She was chatting with Edwin as they approached the staircase when she suddenly saw her best friend sandwiched by two boys who grabbed him by his arms. Brettany shouted out.

"What are you doing !? Don't touch him!!"

A third boy that appeared confronted Brettany.

"Oh shut the f*ck up you little b*tch."

Edwin was immobilised by the two boys holding his arms but what was worse to him was when he saw the third boy towering over Brettany who quickly pulled his hand back as if he was about to slap her across the face.

The corridors were not deserted yet. There was still a reasonable about of student traffic, yet, the sound of the slap was very audible. Even Eddy heard it, as he by now was running down the corridor to see what was happening. He was already in a panicky mood as he saw Edwin held by two boys. Eddy shouted down the corridor.

"Just what do you think you boys are doing !?!!!!!!"

"YOU F*CKING SLAPPED ME YOU F*CKING B*TCH!!!!"

Eddy was confused.

Wait, what ? Brettany slapped that Year 11 boy??

Eddy couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the outraged Year 11 boy, at least 20cm taller than his Year 10 girl counterpart, grab her blouse and pulled her up, off the floor...

OMG

Eddy shouted again down the corridor.

"Let her go!!!"

What happened next was even more unbelievable. Brettany slapped the boy again which made him lower Brettany back to the floor. She then did something to his hands and managed to free herself from his grip. As she did so, some of the buttons of her blouse were torn off, baring her low neckline and chest. The students around them gasped. Eddy roared.

"That's enough!!!!"

He finally caught up with them and stood between Brettany and the boy. Eddy was wearing a sports jacket which he quickly took off and placed on Brettany's shoulders to help her cover up.

"You two boys, let go of Edwin NOW!!"

The two boys weren't even holding Edwin's arms tightly anymore. They jolted when they heard Eddy shout at them and quickly let go of Edwin's arms. Edwin rushed over to Brettany and grabbed the front of Eddy's jacket to help her cover up. Brettany burst into tears and hugged Edwin.

A student or another teacher must have contacted the front office as the Deputy Principal came running over.

"Ok, all of you, my office, let's go."
