'Alright children, time for tag!'

Every child ran into the forest, some kids faster than others. Phil and his friends would've been the fastest, but we're talking about Lianne and Abby here, they are the fastest and the most athletic out of the children. Lianne is faster and smarter than Abby, but Abby does have physical and mental prowess. Phil watched from the bushy path and suspected that they somehow new about the secret. He did before Emma told him and they are much smarter than most of the kids combined. Phil, Sherry, Maddison and Carol all stoped running at the foot of a large bolder.

'How do you think she'll go about catching us all?' Carol asked.

'Aim for the smartest and catch the others along the way' Phil responded.

'Right' Carol said.

Phil and Sherry ran in one direction while Carol and Maddi ran in another.

'Abby, did you think that woman looked familiar?' Lianne whispered to Abby from their look out post in the trees.

'No, why?' Abby responded.

'You know how we remember things from when we were small?' Lianne told her.

'Yes..?' 

'She looks like someone from that'

10 Minutes Later

Carol and Maddi were hiding in a tree and they could see Phil and Sherry in the next tree over. They watched as the mom ran threw the forest tagging everyone she came upon, even the faster and older runners couldn't keep up running that fast for long.

'Let's jump down now' Sherry whispered.

They climbed down, making sure to not make a noise and stealthily moved through the bushes.

SNAP!

They turned just in time to spot the mother racing towards them. They try to run off but Carol and Sherry got caught, Phil and Maddison where the fastest of the four so it made sense. Up ahead they saw Lianne and Abby looking over their shoulders at them and running.

Phil and Maddi jumped up onto a large Cliff/Boulder and looked down onto the Mom, who was surprisingly smiling up at them, as if she where proud that managed to make it this far.

'Um,'

She jumped as Abby and Lianne were holding onto her sleeve and holding up the timer.

'Time Up' Abby told her.

In the field outside the forest.

'She was so fast, I don't know how I even managed to make to five minutes' 10yr Lucy told her best friend 10yr Adam, 'Who's left?'

'Um, Lianne, Abby, Maddison and Phil, Even Sherry and Carol where caught' Adam recounted.

'Sheesh'

'Guys! We're back!' 

They turned and saw The mom giving Lianne a piggyback and the other three walking behind.

'Children, we should get back inside to have dinner' The Mom said.

'Okay Mom!' Timothy said, 'When should I get ready for my adoption!' He smiled his adorable little smile and Maddi looked close to tears, as she thought how she would never see this adorable, innocent child ever again. Carol elbowed her, but you could see the pain on her face. They walked backed to the house, some hungry, some tired and some sad as Timothy was getting adopted.

'I'm not that hungry' Carol later said, using her fork to push her beef around in her gravy.

'Well I am' Maddison said, with a mouthful of salad.

'Your always hungry' Carol retorted, 'anyway, so we're carrying out the plan tonight?' She whispered.

'Yeah' Sherry responded, 'Phil, you've got it ready?' She asked.

'Yep' Phil answered, 'I asked Timothy if I could have it to remember him by, he said yes and will give it to me after he says goodbye.'

'Good, Carol remember you'll tell them to return it, Maddi you will distract the rest of the kids, Phil, you have to put it there before hand' Sherry whispered the plan to them.

'Right' they said.

'GUYS! COME SAY GOODBYE TO ME!'
