I make my way out on the stages as my name is presented. "It's and honor to be here and to present this award. I have met all of the incredible women and I know they are good people behind the scenes. They continue to inspire people both old and young as well as both men and women everyday. Here is the nominees for best female athlete"

And with that I let the short film roll behind me. When it's done I look back at the crowd. "And the winner is" I slowly open the envelope in my hand "My dear friend when it's comes to watching tennis. Alex Morgan" And with that everyone starts to cheer and clap as Alex make her way up to the stage. When she get to me I hand her the trophy and give her a hug

"Congratulations" I say as I give her a smile

"Thanks" She answers before I step aside and she start her speech. The speech was really good and kinda funny. We made our way back behind the scenes and we talked for a short minute before she made her way back to her seat and I made my way to mine

The rest of the night was really good. With a lot of awards being gives away to a lot of different people and then it was time for the after party. Usually not a big fan of them but I didn't have anything to do tomorrow so I decided to stay a bit at least.

I made my way around as I small talked with a few different people until I found myself in a conversation with Serena Willams

Alex POV
"How do you know y/n Adams" Is the first thing Kelley ask me after the show

"We have watch tennis together a couple of times and then went for a coffee or something like that. Why do you seam so exited about it?"

"Because she has the biggest crush on y/n" Allie say as she stand by us. I look at Kelley and she's blushing hard

"She's single. I can tell you that"

"You should walk over and talk to her" Allie say slightly pushing Kelley y/n's direction

"No way that I will do that. She's talking with Serena Williams and is a multimillionaire if not more. She is never going to talk to me"

"Yes she are now join me" I take Kelley's arm as I start walking over to them with Allie behind

Y/n'a POV
I have been taking to Serena for a while when she have to go but just then Alex walk over with two friends

"Hi"

"Nice to met you. Allie" One say as she put her hand out. I shake it and give her a smile

"Y/n"

"Kelley. Kelley O'Hara. It's nice to met you" She sound kinda nervous but it's kinda cute so I shake her hand as I give her a smile

"Congratulations on winning best team"

"Thanks" They all say at the same time making me laugh

"How come you stayed for the after party. You never do" Alex ask when we're done laughing

"I have nothing to do tomorrow so instead of being home watching a movie all alone I decided to stay here and met some people"

We talk for a while and then both Allie and Alex have to go to their husbands. "I guess I'm going to go to" Kelley say nervously as she turn around and walk over to some teammates

I give her one last smile before I walk around having some more small talks with people but nothing to big so after some time I decided to leave.

I walked out and waited for my car to be brought up and in front of the red carpet which was still rolled out on the road. As I was waiting I felt someone tap my should and I turn around to find miss O'Hara

"I just wanted to say that it was nice meeting you and that you look really good tonight" I gave her as smile because she seam very nervous

"It was nice meeting you to and tone honest you doesn't look to bad yourself" At that small compliment she blush really hard giving my lips a smile

"Do you mind if I take you out some time" I ask after a few seconds

"Would be a pleasure" She answered right away. I handed her my phone so she could put her number in before they pulled up with my car

"We'll see you soon the. Miss O'Hara" I said before placing a quick kiss on her cheek and getting in my car

And that's how I ended up with a girlfriend for three years that now is my fiancé and soon to be wife. Couldn't be happier
