"Babe! Babe! Babe!" You panted excitedly as you ran at top speed into Caesar's main lab.

"Holy hell, what? What has you so panicked?" Caesar asked, startled by your presence.

You skidded to a stop next to your mad scientist of a lover with a Florence flask and a couple of jars in your arms, laying them out on the counter before you as he watched you with growing curiosity. Setting up the flask under a nearby fume hood, you turned to face him with a smile made purely from childish joy.

"You've gotta see this thing I accidentally did." You said giddily. "I was just messing around and ended up with the coolest results. I like to call it 'lightning in a bottle'."

"Ah, well then, let's see this discovery of yours." He sighed, stopping what he was doing to pay attention to you.

Nodding excitedly, you started to mix together the things you brought along, starting with a mixture of ethanol and sugar being dumped into the flask of sulfuric acid. You then ran off to shut off the lights to this particular section of the lab before coming back, scooping out a little bit of potassium permanganate on a small metal scoop. Turning on the fume hood, you then dumped the fine powder into the solution and watched a little cloud form inside the spherical part of the flask. The real interesting part though, was that it started sparking like a tiny and angry little storm could. As it sparked brilliantly, you looked up and Caesar proudly and pointed at the flask.

"See? Isn't that so god damn cool?!" You spoke up.

Caesar took a moment to watch your giddy pointing before he smirked, snorted, and spoon busted out in a fit of chuckles. You tilted your head curiously, wondering what he found so funny about the situation.

"What? What's so funny?" You asked him, pouting as he leaned on the counter.

"This is actually a really common reaction, and it's very easy to achieve. Despite its simplicity though, you find it so intriguing and the way you handle seeing it is so adorable~!" Caesar laughed.

"Oh well excuuuse me for being late to the party then." you leered, frowning up at him.

"No no no! I just think it's so cute that you can always find joy in the littlest of things with science. Your excitement when finding out new things on your own shows your will to learn, and that you truly love what you do. I like that about you, and it's definitely one of the main reasons why I love you so much." He elaborated, quite earnestly at that.

"Oh... Shut it." You muttered, a bright blush flaring up on your cheeks.

"Nah~" He hummed.

He then leaned down and planted a brief little kiss on your lips, surprising you as sparks flew much like the little storm in the flask. Though you were briefly irritated by him, you sighed when his lips parted from yours and crossed your arms.

"I love you too, idiot." You finally said.

"Do you love me for me, or for my labs and access to chemicals?"

"Well..."

"OI!" He yelled.

"I'm kidding! I love you the most of course. You've given me so many opportunities and loved me in return, so how could I not?" You sighed.

"Tch, you scientific little hooligan." He huffed, pulling you into a hug as the chemical reaction behind you fizzled out.

The only thing that wouldn't be fizzling out though, was the sparks of your awkward and obnoxious love.
