You groan tiredly when loud knocking aggressively pulls you out of your deep slumber. You pull the covers over your head and hope the knocking stops. Which it doesn't. It only gets louder.
You lift your head up and glare at your digital clock that reads:
09:48 am
You know your Mom is at work which means you have to get up to open the door.
With a deep sigh, you push yourself up and toss your hair into a messy ponytail and slip a sweatshirt on. You walk out of your room and over to the front door, pulling it open with an annoyed glare.
"Morning!" Kaylee chirps.
You just stare up at her, annoyed.
"What?" You ask grumpily. "It's a Saturday morning. Why are you here?"
Kaylee pouts. "Aren't you gonna let me in?"
You huff. "My Mom is at work. She'll be back at 11 tonight."
"I'm not here for your Mom." Kaylee replies.
A blush settles on your cheeks when you realise she's here for you.
It's been a month since you met Kaylee, you've hung out with her but with her friends as well whenever your Mom drags you to set with her, but you've never hung out alone.
No matter how much you like her and the massive crush you have on her, it's still a Saturday morning and sleep is more important.
"Why are you here then?" You ask again.
"I was thinking you and I could spend the day together, get to know each other." Kaylee shrugs.
"I'm 16, you're 20. Don't you have people your own age to hang out with?" You ask.
Kaylee just raises an eyebrow at you. You sigh and roll your eyes before letting her into the apartment. Kaylee grins and walks in, but the grin falls when you walk back to your room.
"Hey, where are you going?" She asks and follows you.
"Back to bed, Satan." You grumble and climb back into your bed.
"Satan?" She asks with a chuckle.
"Only Satan wakes up this early on Saturday." You reply.
Kaylee smiles amusedly. "I'm normally at work by 6 most days."
"Gross." You sigh and shuffle in your bed, patting the free space.
"This isn't what I had in mind when I said we should hang out." Kaylee scolds but climbs into the bed, sitting against the headboard.
"5 more minutes." You whisper.
Kaylee smiles and strokes your hair. "You look so much like your Mom."
You grunt. "Rude."
"Y/N." Kaylee scolds which makes you giggle.
"Kidding." You say. "You know, you're a pedophile."
"What?" Kaylee asks with a frown.
"In bed with a minor. I expected better from you, Kaylee." You sigh playfully.
Kaylee rolls her eyes and hits your shoulder. "Wake up."
You ignore her and cuddle further into your pillow, clutching your small blanket in your hands.
"What's this?" Kaylee wonders and gestures to your blanket you're holding.
"My Mom gave it to me when I was a baby, I was attached to it for years, it makes me feel safe. Whenever she leaves early in the morning, she lays it on my chest. It's just something she's done my whole life." You explain.
