Kou's POV

"Defeat..y/n..? Does that mean we have to hurt her?" I asked worriedly.

"Not necessarily. All we have to do is pull off her yorishiro to weaken the boundary and get her out." Hanako explained.

"Although..y/n might be the one that will go off on us. Due to the pressure and the impact of the boundary, she might not be to control uer power-"

"I don't care. As long as we can save y/n I'll do it." I responded as I cut off Hanako already having made up my mind about the decision to save y/n.

"I'll help out aswell." Teru-nii volunteered.

"So three of us will go inside the boundary then. Remember our main goal is to find her yorishiro. So let's try to avoid contact with y/n as much as possible."

Both me and Teru-nii nodded.

Hanako started opening the boundary through the necklace and as if like magic, a portal appeared out of nowhere.

As all three of us entered, we were met by the sight of what seemed to be a flower garden with picture frames of y/n's memories scattered all around.

We were awestruck as to how a boundary could look so beautiful.

"So this is what her boundary looks like...it's beautiful." Teru-nii mumbled while looking around.

"Well they do say a boundary reflects the owner." I thought to myself not knowing I said it out loud.

Just then both Hanako and Teru-nii gave me a knowing look together with a smirk.

"I-" I was about to reply in defense before a familiar but sad and gentle voice spoke over me.

"What are all of you doing hear?" Y/n said scared as all of us turned to face her and was met by her in a lovely light kimono as she looked helpless and frightened.

"Y/n!" I exclaimed as I came running towards her and hugged her tightly.

"I'm so glad you're ok" I said completely forgetting what Hanako said about avoiding contact.

"Kou.." she mumbled as she hesitantly hugged back but soon pushed me away with a look as if she had remembered something.

"No! You can't come near me..I don't know what's happening but from the moment I came here it seemed that almost everything I was touching was getting destroyed.." she said as she distanced herself from us in fear.

"But-" "uhm..Kou?" Teru asked as he pointed towards my feet that was getting dragged down by some flower that was biting on me.

"Eh!?" I exclaimed shocked as I tried to wiggle my way out of the thing that was biting on me but it was no use as it only seemed to be dragging down faster.

"Kou!" I heard y/n yell out my name as she dashed towards me and held my hand making her get dragged down with me aswell.

Narrator's POV

Both Teru and Hanako stared at the ground that y/n and Kou sinked into in shock.

"Don't worry they'll be fine." Hanako reassured.

"So much for avoiding contact." Teru sighed.
