Chapter 2 // dinner

As me and trell walked down the stairs Ken walked in the front door waving back at someone before closing it behind him.

Trell smiled " thank god" he mumbled before walking over and sitting at the table

I laughed " hey Ken" i said looking up at him smiling

Ken nodded walking over dapping me up " wassup up with him" he asked

I shrugged " he did something that he won't tell me about and yo mom found out so hes trying not to get yelled at .. Where you been?" I asked

Ken laughed " he always doing something, im surprised you aint here more often... So me and my homie was at shorty house and her dad came home early so i had to get outta there" he said

I laughed " i aint never been to a girl crib and i never will for that exact reason" i said making him laugh

Ken was about to say something but Davaughn came walking out of the living room and we both went quiet "well don't stop the conversation now" he said rolling his eyes as he walked to the table sitting across from trell

I sighed as Ken guestered for me to follow him as he walked to the table sitting down, i sat inbetween Ken and trell keeping my gaze away from Davaughn who was staring down at his phone.

Soon sheronda came walking in with plates setting them in front of us sitting down. " how was yo day ma" trell asked

She half smiled obviously getting the hint about what he was trying to do " just work and cooking for me all day, how about you?" She asked

Trell shrugged " nothing serious, just played the game and waited for kam to come back" he said which was a major lie and we all knew it

Trell never spent a minute longer then he had to inside, he would rather spend all day in the streets if he could.

She sighed " which reminds me, how is school kam?" She asked

I smiled " same as always, not very good. But to say the least it is my last year so im excited to be done with it" he said

She smiled " im excited for you, Who's next?" She said but i was more distracted by the fact i could feel someone glaring at me

Ken looked up from him plate which he hadnt even touched since it was set in front of him " i got suspended for skipping" he said

Sheronda sighed " oh great, now i'll have two kids home all day" she joked making Ken smile

Davaughn set his phone down looking up " i passed my math test" he said as i looked up at him

Sheronda nodded " okay good" she said not even glancing at him

Davaughn rolled his eyes standing up about to walk away but she stopped him before he could get far.

Sheronda glanced up at him " what i tell you about being rude when we have guests" she said

Davaughn rolled his eyes " can i go upstairs" he asked with a bitter tone in his voice

Sheronda nodded " yeah, i think that's a good idea" she said

Davaughn picked up the plate not even looking at anyone else before walking off into the kitchen, it was quiet for a second but out of no where there was a crashing sound making me flinch.

Sheronda quickly turned around " Davaughn! What is wrong with you" she yelled standing up

Davaughn didnt answer he just walked up the stairs going into his room and slamming the door. I frowned,Well at least trell got his distraction from being yelled at.
