Life As TakaMori's Child

2: First Meeting

A/n: Clara's feather (for now) is at the top of the screen. It was also made in a rush so don't judge me if it looks a bit sloppy.

Third Person P.O.V

It had been a few hours since Clara hatched, Ina and Gura weren't able to see her just yet as they were told to wait until the next day, bird things is what Kiara said. 

The couple now sat in the nest of blankets, Kiara sitting in Calli's lap asleep with their daughter wrapped comfortably in a blanket provided by the hospital. Calli sat with her arms around the two birds, silently scrolling through her phone; checking emails, and answering messages. A knock at the door interrupts the reaper and her head snaps up to see the doctor that helped 'deliver' their child standing at the door with a gentle smile.

"Just coming by to make sure everything is alright, has she opened her eyes yet?" The doctor spoke in a soft voice to not wake the mother and child sleeping peacefully. Calli shakes her head before asking the doctor a question, "Is this normal for babies? Obviously, as a human doctor, you've probably never seen anything like this before.." Calli's awkward tone trails off as the doctor offers her a kind smile, "Normally human babies take a few minutes for their eyes to open although they can't see very far ahead of them in this case your daughter isn't very human, I'd say give it another hour maybe and if her eyes aren't open by then than we'll see what we can do"

Calli nods slowly and says a quiet thank you to the doctor as he left the room. With a tired sigh, Calli leans back against the wall behind her and closes her eyes. The room is filled with silence as Calli begins to fall asleep.

*chirp*

Calli's eyes shoot open at the sound of a tiny chirp in the room, her eyes immediately trail down to the small phoenix resting in Kiara's lap. The little bird's wings begin to twitch ever so slightly causing Calli's eyes to light up in happiness. The reaper quickly moves around to look closer at the small phoenix as she slowly moved her head around, Clara's eyelids begin to twitch slightly and Calli begins frantically slapping at Kiara's arm. 

"Kiara Kiara get up she's gonna open her eyes!" Kiara shoots up at the sound of Calli's voice before the words she said dawned on her making Kiara snap her head toward the small phoenix. 

Everything seemed to move slower as the little bird's eyes flutter open and gaze up at her two parents looking down at her. The small child almost seems to smile as a cheerful 'chirp'  sounds loudly in the room. Calli's eyes begin to water and she quickly looks away from the baby to wipe her eyes and sniffles slightly, catching Kiara's attention who simply laughs softly at the reaper for getting emotional. 

VERY NEXT DAY

It had been a bit more than 24 hours since Clara had opened her eyes, the small phoenix is now being fed by Kiara. Not the way you're thinking weirdo. Kiara sat in the next with a baby bottle filled with mango extract, yes that's right, fruit extract. Kiara said that a newborn phoenix chick should only eat fruit extracts and rare spices until they reach one year of age and if they ate anything else it could risk their true feather colors not coming out as well as their weapon or powers in general. 

Gura had left the hospital as she had a stream to start. She was one of the EN girls that had yet decided to graduate even though the other girls appear on her stream often since they all live together now. Amelia had been on an important case, hence her not being at Clara's 'birth'. Ina was the only other EN girl, besides Calli, who was still at the hospital, saying she refused to leave before seeing her niece, making Calli tear up a bit. 

Anyways back to the small phoenix that was now making even smaller bright pink embers float around herself and her smiling mother. With a trill of happiness, the phoenix engulfs herself in pink and blue flames. Once the flames begin to diminish what was left, shocked Kiara to the point of tears, the once small phoenix had surprisingly transformed into her human form. 

With phoenix babies, they transform into the first bird they see which was Kiara's reason for transforming when Clara first hatched but Y/n is a hybrid of a human? reaper? undead? Who knows at this point but she has a human form and it's adorable. The little phoenix hair consists of light orange, almost peach-colored roots that transition into a dusty pink color and end with her tips being an aqua color. When thinking about it she more resembles a raven than she does a phoenix which kinda makes sense considering who her parents are. 

Kiara lets out a small gasp as Clara opens her eyes that are almost an exact replica of Calli's. "Oh hell yeah dude she has my eyes!" Kiara glares at the reaper who calmy seats herself back down with her head lowered, "Sorry..." The older phoenix lets out a sigh with a small smile as she looks back down at the child she never thought she would have. Clara smiles brightly up at her mother as a burst of pink flames erupt from her hair as she begins to giggles loudly. Kiara snickers at her daughter's playfulness and gently caresses her cheek, a soft smile on her lips at the baby's giggles. 

A FEW HOURS LATER

After Clara had been fed and washed by Kiara she finally agreed to let Ina come see her, by that time Ame and Gura had come by and the group were making their way to the room. A light knock sounds at the door and Calli's voice can be heard telling them to come in. The first to enter the room is Gura who simply pokes her head in the crack of the door before she's pushed to the side by Ame who walks in with her hands at her hips, "Where's my niece?!" The gremlin is shushed almost immedetly by Ina who then points in the direction of Kiara nad Calli who were still steated in the nest of blnkets. 

Gura flashes a bright smile at the two and skips over to sit next to Calli, peering over her shoulder to look at the sleeping baby. "Her hair is so cool looking!" Ina takes a seat a bit further away to give the couple more space and smiles gently when Clara lets out a small coo as Ame touches her hand. "It's crazy to think children can be so small and to think one day she'll be just like Calli or Kiara" 

"You never know Ame, she could turn out like me an apex preditor!" The room goes silent before everyone breaks out into laugher, everyone but Gura who simply distracs herself by playing with Clara's hands. The laughter dies down as Clara begins to open her eyes and looks up at Gura with a confused expresion, "Wow, for a baby she is very expressive" Clara smiles brightly and lets out a gigle while trying to nibble on Gura's finger. "You heard the baby I am now the favorite"

Ame lets out a huff and moves closer to Clara who also smiles at her making Ame smile back just as bright. Ina peers around her two lovers a looks at Clara witha gentle look, the little phoenix sees Ina and her face lights up more than it already was and she lets out  loud squeal of happiness. "Welp nevermind then..." 

Calli hands Clara over to Ina who sits back and holds Clara close to her, "Hey guys" Ina's quiet voice fills the roomas she looks up at Ame and Gura, "Lets have a baby" Gura's face erupts in red and she begins to stutter much more than usual as Ame looks at Ina with a face of excitment and rushes over to the girl.

"Do you mean it because we can do it right now I don't care!"

"Hey what are you- put your clothes back on!"

"Watson we're in public!"

"Never stopped us before, come here Ina!"

"Hey my daughter you chucklefucks!"

Seems HoloEN hasn't changed a bit.
