3: First Time For Everything

A FEW YEARS LATER

It has been a few years since Clara was born and she was now four with the ability to fully walk and speak, mostly. 

All the girls of EN decided that Clara shouldn't go to a public school and instead decided to homeschool her as she isn't exactly human.

Today Clara was going to be getting her very first combat lesson from her 'papa' as she calls Calli. Kiara was off helping Pekora with her and Miko's child so it was only the rest of EN and Calli for the day.

"Alright up and at em kiddo, it's time to start the day" Calli walks into Clara's room that was filled with Hololive merch and poster, even a few body pillows as the girl said 'I want to be closer to aunties'.

Clara sits up in her black-framed bed and lets out a little yawn, her eyes have yet to open but she reaches her arms out in the general direction of where she heard Calli's voice. Calli smiles softly and gently lifts her daughter from the confines of her bed, the little bird wraps herself around the reaper. Calli walks down the stairs of their home and sits Clara at the dining table, walking into the kitchen and grabbing two plates towering with waffles. 

Clara's eyes light up and her once-sleepy form shoots up in happiness at the smell of the food, "Waffles!" Calli slides the plate down in front of the young girl and pats her head affectionately before walking back into the kitchen to grab the many fruits, whipped creams, and syrups. The reaper sits down next to her daughter who stood in the chair while bouncing on her heels with excitement, the oversized t-shirt on her body looking more like a dress. 

Calli chuckles quietly to herself while cutting up the little bird's waffles, "What's the fruit of the day little bird?" Clara looks over her options before reaching across the table, "Strawberry!!" With a small snort, Calli helps Clara grab the pre-cut strawberries and places a few in a small bowl for Clara to eat.

The young immortal bounces in her seat happily while munching on a strawberry slice. Calli looks adoringly at her daughter who flashes her a smile and giggles loudly.

TIME SKIP

After a much-needed bath, the two immortals walk out into their open backyard where Calli summons her scythe, Ricky. "Alright kiddo today we're going to learn something every shinigami should know and that's how to swing your scythe, well that's if you get one" Clara looks up at her papa with doe eyes full of excitement. Calli summons a mini version of Ricky and hands it to Clara, of course, the scythe didn't actually have a blade on it as Kiara was very adamant about it not having one plus she had threatened Calli with no physical contact if it did have a blade. Anyways...

The little phoenix began to bounce around in happiness, "Alright Clara you need to be super careful when handling a scythe, it's known for being very top-heavy so it'll take you a bit to get used to it so let's work on that" Clara nods with a face of determination as Calli hands over the scythe. Clara grips the handle tightly and the moment Calli releases it both the scythe and Clara drop to the ground. "...Let's try that again yeah?"

TIME SKIP

For the next couple of hours, the two began to practice different ways to hold and handle the scythe. Clara had surprisingly caught on quickly to the things Calli said and was even able to keep up with her when it came to changing positions. By the time the two decided to take a break, Kiara had arrived back home with the other EN girls visiting.

Calli walks back into the house with Clara laying on her back half asleep. Kiara stood in the kitchen, surprisingly cooking without burning down the house, only because Ina was doing most of the work. Amelia and Gura were sat at the couch, Gura laying onto of Ame, and were quite invested in whatever was playing on the TV. "Hey guys, hey babe" Calli greets everyone, getting muffled replies from Ame and Gura, a wah from Ina, and a kiss on the check from Kiara. 

"How was training?" Ina's question seems to catch the attention of everyone as Calli now had all the attention. She slowly placed Clara down on the couch with Ame and Gura, the phoenix naturally curling up to snuggle with her aunts. "She's a natural honestly, for her first time handling a scythe she did pretty good" Calli's praise caused most of the girls to hum with awe, everyone besides Ina.

"Are you sure you guys should be training her this early on, isn't she a bit too young?" Ina's worried expression causes Kiara to give her a soft smile. "I tried to convince Calli to wait until she was at least ten but she was persistent and said that all shinigami should be trained from young" Ina hums while nodding slowly before giving Calli a playful glare, "Hey listen, I tried to wait but Death-sensei said I should start training her and Death is never wrong so I agreed although I wouldn't mind being convinced again just give me a good enough reason"

Kiara begins to laugh cheekily before approaching Calli, "I didn't know you enjoyed it that much, how about I try to convince you again, maybe Clara needs a sibling or multipe~" Calli's face quickly flashes to panic as she begins to back away from the seison't phoenix, "H-hey now, that's not what I meant, not saying I don't enjoy our... fits of passion..." Kiara giggles at being able to fluster Calli before placing a light kiss on her cheek, "You still haven't changed Calli" THe reaper blushes before sighing and smiling softly as their friends laugh amongst themselves.

Yep, HoloEN hasn't changed a bit.

A/n: I have decided to include the TTRPG girls because why not plus it would be very fun. For those that don't know the girls are Scout, Yuul, Tiara, and Watoto. (Watoto is a boy btw). The TTRPG peeps are going to act as Clara's friends well everyone except Tiara, she's going to be Kiara's distant cousin or something IDK yet.
