Eunji sighs as she sips her perfectly brewed vanilla bean coffee. She walks out of the cozy coffee shoppe and proceeds down the crowded sidewalk along the busy streets of Seoul to her new university that she'll be attending.
Despite the noise, Eunji felt relaxed and somewhat refreshed since the autumn season is quickly coming up.
It has been nearly a year since her heart transplant.
After her recovery of her miraculous heart implant, Eunji has been living life to her fullest, knowing that it was a once in a lifetime opportunity for her to even continue with her life. It's all thanks to her 'Guardian Angel'. She doesn't even know if he was real or if the whole suicide situation even happened! For all she knows, it all could've been a dream, a long and very realistic dream.
And it was a good dream, in fact.
Eunji takes in the autumn air into her perfectly functioning lungs, her heart pumping healthily with her every breath and action. It's like she never had a heart failure in the first place, Dr. Nam was that good with his patients.
But it still comes to her mind once in a while of the expression of his eyes as he happily told her the news of the new perfectly compatible heart.
Well, Eunji knows. She knows that the heart she's using right now used to be someone who isn't in this world anymore. She knows that that person had saved her life more than anyone else, even the doctor or her handsome angel. She was very thankful for that person to donate their heart after their time on Earth had came to an end, ensuring a new healthy beginning in her life on Earth. If she could meet that person who used to own the heart that was beating in her chest, she would be very thankful to them and even dedicate her life to them.
"Move it, dumbass! There's people trying to go places, you can't just stand around in the middle of the walkway like a mindless dork!" someone grunted as they shoved Eunji off the walkway into the dangerous streets that beared cars furiously driving.
Eunji was pushed onto the dirty asphalt that was covered in warm-colored leaves. She almost landed flat on her face if it wasn't for her bag that contained her textbooks for class and her heart medication. Wait a minute where's her heart meds?
"Wah! Where is it? I swear I packed them in here today!" Eunji exclaimed as she searched every pocket in her brown hangover bag. She heard a horn honk and found the bottle of prescription pills in the middle of the streets.
"Oh no! That was my last bottle! And umma and appa are still out on their vacation for them to even buy those expensive pills!" Eunji cried as she spotted the little orange container not too far off yet in a dangerous location on the street.
"Eotteokhae?!" Eunji stood from her crouched position and shakes her head in a frustrated action sending her light brown curls bouncing around her slim frame.
Eunji takes a glance on her watch, it was only 8:19 AM. Eleven minutes left untill her morning lecture starts. And the classroom wasn't far off.
"Ok. Let's be quick, Eunji~" Eunji prosed to herself and made a 'Fighting~' gesture.
She slings her bag across her shoulder and makes sure her shoelaces were tied properly. Eunji was a clumsy girl, her coordination wasn't all too good but with her shoelaces tied tightly, she knows she won't end up tripping for falling.
She eyes the little bright orange capsule and takes huge sneaky steps towards it, keeping her eyes on the prize.
HOOOOOONNNNNNNNNK! A car swerved the young girl.
"Omo! I'm sorry, Driver-ssi! Mianhe!" Eunji repeatedly bows as she approaches the bottle. Once she arrived in the center of the road she snatched the orange tube and ran fast back to the safely of the sidewalk.
Too quick with her steps Eunji stumbles over, not her shoelaces but a simply rock that lie in the middle of one side of the bustling road. This time landing flat on her face.
BEEP! BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP! The blaring noise came from the bright shining light.
This is the end, Eunji thought. She braced herself for the impact of the light quickly running towards her.
Before Eunji could watch her life flash by in her eyes, a strong pair of arms reach in and grab her away from the speeding truck.
"WHAT THE FCK ARE YOU DOING ON THE ROAD, YOU B*TCH! AISHHHH!" yelled the driver of the truck as it passes in a time lapse of a second.
But Eunji didn't hear a word the cursing truck drived yelled because the owner of those exact pair of dark chocolate eyes staring down into her soul was none other but her Guardian Angel.
There they stood, on the edge of the walkway, in each other's embraces as Eunji and her mysterious heroic Guadian Angel were deeply lost in each other's eyes.
All a sudden, realizing the awkward position they were in, he let go of Eunji, making her almost fall backwards if it wasn't for his quickly acting hands of her Guardian Angel to help her from her fall.
"That was a fast truck!" Eunji awkwardly proclaimed as she watched the truck speed by a red light. She didn't realize that she was still in the arms of the person who saved her.
"Miss? Can you let go of my arms now? I've saved you for the thousanth time now, so if you would please?" his familiar deep voice politely asked as he let go of his grip around Eunji's small waist before Eunji could utter an answer. Well, it seems the mister had saved Eunji more than thousands of times, haha.
"G-Guardian Angel?" Eunji dazily asked, still shocked by the fact that her Guardian Angel, the one who saved her from her dying off the rooftop of the hospital was standing before her in live flesh.
