"I'm sorry Eunji.. We did everything we could to mend you heart but the tumor just keeps growing and growing and it's nearly taken over most of your heart by now." the doctor wearily announced.

"W-What are you saying, doctor-ssi?" her mother breathed out.

"I am sorry, aghassi, deeply sorry. But I'm afraid our team has done all there is to cure dear Eunji's heart. I'm afraid to say that there is no hope in saving her heart from this cruel disease.

Unless we undergo a heart transplant, but it's a big risk, considering that Eunji's body is far too weak to perform another surgery and there aren't many fresh heart donors from our desceased patients that matched Eunji's heart." the doctor explained.

"So what you're saying is that you can't save my daughter because there aren't enough dead people and fresh hearts that perfectly matches Eunji's heart?!" Eunji's father raged and stood up from Eunji's side.

"Now, now.. Calm down, Dongwook.. Take it easy, yeobo-" Eunji's mother grabs her husband's arm.

"How could you say that? That my daughter has no hope in living? I though I trusted you Jonghwan!! You blindly gave us hope and now Eunji is simply going to die?! How dare you! How dare-" Eunji's father choked on his own spit.

"Appa..!" Eunji called as her mother rose and patted her husband's back.

"Aigoo, Dongwook.. Dr. Nam-ssi, is this true? That our Eunji can't live-" Eunji's mother paused on the last word and begun to weep.

Eunji didn't like the sight of her parents crying for her sake. They weren't on a verge to die, yet they still shed many tear for her.

It made Eunji heartbroken.

It made Eunji sick.

Not that she wasn't sick already. Oh no, her heart just decided right then and there that it was far too weak to survive and provide life for her.

From the beginning of her journey, she felt brave. She knew she couldn't just let a measly heart disease get in the way of her life.

Just when she thought she was unstoppable, she beared a heart attack, bringing her to this horrifying hospital. Soon her disease had gotten serious that she could no longer attend school, but instead live in the hospital!

But she still wore a courageous face and was optimistic before and after many several surgeries to try to heal her cancer. To her dismay, things only got worse.

Thus now bringing her to realize death is just waiting around the corner, slowing destroying her fragile heart.

Eunji couldn't be strong anymore, when she already had a weak and dying heart.
