It's cold out here

The crowd cheered as Blake delivered the finishing blow to her opponent's takedown, and a pair of light blue eyes watched with no discernible emotion. Indeed, Weiss Schnee was a glacier wall and the sight of her old friend didn't change that. Her expressions were reserved for one person these days, and that person was right beside her-

She blinked at the empty seat. Ruby was gone. "...damn it Ruby." She refocused her gaze on Blake and grimaced. The box they sat in was private to them and it's Windows held a tint to them to assure privacy so she was sure that Blake couldn't see her but anyone could see her.

Mistaking those blonde locks wasn't something anyone could do. She couldn't forget those eyes, or those fists raining blows with a ferocity that kept her up for weeks after everything that happened. Weiss let her mind wander through old memories but it didn't last long as Ruby returned.

"I have returned with snacks!" Said the matured voice of one Ruby Rose. Weiss smiled as those mental walls vanished and she cast her gaze to her Fiance.

"What did you manage to bring my rose petal?" An odd nickname to most but it served it's purpose to make Ruby blush without fail. Ruby smiled as she listed off the acquired items.

"Popcorn, chips, sodas and oddly enough Ice Cream sandwiches?"

Weiss felt the disgust before it formed as an expression on her face. "Pass on all."

Ruby frowned. "You haven't eaten much these days. At least take the Ice Cream sandwich."

Weiss rolled her eyes. "I have weight to make for my fight, you know this."

"Yeah but that's a decent ways away from now. Now eat." Ruby said, nudging Weiss cheek with treat. Weiss grumbled about 'being too persuasive' and took the Ice Cream sandwich, eating it. The silence fell over them for a bit as the next fight was being announced.

"So..." Ruby started.

Weiss looked over. "Hm?"

"Blake won."

"She did. Though that leg failed and she was running on fumes near the end." Weiss pointed out. "She read the takedown pretty good. I recognized that haphazard counter."

Ruby grinned. "Sato v. Adel. Adel used the jumping knee counter when Sato moved in for an overhand to win and become Bantamweight Champion."

Weiss nodded with a small smile. "Good job, you have been using my methods of studying." Ruby smiled, appreciative, and Weiss felt her heart melt.

God she loved her.

The next fight in the ring was from the Men's Division, a Lightweight Championship match that was the main event of the night. Usually, Weiss would happily two pros go at it, but ultimately she had a lot of thoughts to handle, and so her and Ruby left before the match concluded.

--------------------------------

As Weiss and Ruby left the building with her entourage of security and Ruby at her side, it was Ruby who paused first and stopped Weiss by holding out her arm, causing the security to tense.

"What are you-" Weiss looked ahead and her eyes widened.

Near the parking lot's other end by their car was a sight for sore eyes. Blonde hair that flowed down to the hips with lilac orbs that watched them with a calmness that was eerie. Yang Xiao Long leaned off of the car and approached as Weiss balled her fists with anger.

Ruby moved to approach, passing the security and standing in front of Yang, halting her half sister's approach. "You two have a no contact clause in your fight contract. Why are you here?"

Yang stared at her for what felt like a long time. Eventually she looked past her and locked eyes with Weiss. "Reminds me of four years ago." She didn't have to say much else. Weiss got the reference.

Weiss looked at her. "Four years I haven't forgiven you for."

Yang shrugged. "Nobody has. I lost the ability to care a while after everyone left."

Ruby scoffed, drawing Yang's attention back to her. "Wonder why that was."

Yang narrowed her gaze. "You still acting like I pushed everyone away?"

"You still acting like that isn't what happened? If so, you're just as delusional as you were back then."

"I'm not here to argue over this shit again. Though you don't need to know why I'm here. Weiss probably already figured it out." Yang turned. "Its only March. Our fight is in May. See you then Weiss." She stalked off, vanishing in the darkness of the parking lot. Ruby walked back to Weiss, who had her head tilted down with her fingers pinching the bridge of her nose.

"Why was she here?" Ruby asked.

"To psych me out. She tried to make me feel fear, the fucking bitch."

"But it didn't work?"

"It worked." Weiss looked up, revealing the tears rolling down her pale cheeks. "That's why I'm annoyed." She was pulled into a hug by her Fiance as her shoulders lifted as a quiet sob escaped her.

Fuck you Yang...when we get in that damn ring I'll retake my victory.

They left after the encounter, Ruby eager to head home and adamant on having Weiss forget the encounter.

The Schnee Mansion was hers she bought a few years after going pro in the MMA world. It held the common needs of any house and the needs for her as an athlete and she loved it, though not as much these days. Ruby moved in late last year in December to be with her and it helped with the impending loneliness but she missed the times that used to be. Before Yang changed. Before their first fight at ICL 5. Yang, Blake, Ruby and herself used to hang out on a constant basis that she craved to have once again. But after that pay per view Yang gave them no answer for her actions and the rift between them all opened. Her and Ruby were capable of mending the rift between them but Blake was a different case. Blake was torn and understandably so, thus leading to some resurgence of her anti social behaviour. Blake became a recluse and receded into her shell, eventually vanishing from their lives for the most part and the conflicting schedules of their fights meant they didn't have opportune time to talk.

Weiss looked at her phone, knowing that Blake's number was there. She opened it and scrolled through her contacts. Ruby looked at her confused.

"Who are you calling?"

Weiss stopped on Blake's number wordlessly and Ruby caught on. "Weiss? Are you sure? You remember what happened."

Weiss remembered, that much was true. But she never blamed Blake for the actions of that brute. "It's been years Ruby. And I think we can agree that Blake can't be blamed for that."

Ruby shrugged. "Fair. But she left us, and I'm not as forgiving as I used to be."

Weiss nodded in acknowledgement before looking at the phone.

She hit call.
