Harry~
My morning was pretty boring.
Usually my day was filled with following Louis around during whatever he had going on. Since Louis is always running from trainings to meetings, it was rare for me to have nothing to do. Most of the time it wasn't terrible. Unless it was a day Louis went on a hunt with his knight friends, those days are always unbearably long and I often wound up having to carry all of their supplies. Wandering around the woods could be somewhat relaxing, but when the company consists of multiple men attempting to spear animals, one could imagine how it makes the time less ideal.
I decided to pass the time cleaning up the mess in my room I'd left that morning. When entering it looked just shy of a tornado attack. I took to picking up the contents of my bed off of my floor and piling up the dirty so I could wash them tonight when I take Louis' laundry.
By the time I was done with that, it was about time to meet Liam for lunch. Aside from Louis, Liam was the only person I really talked to inside of the castle. He was the one who showed me around when I was first hired, which I really appreciated. We were quick to get along and become close friends. Liam works as a kitchen hand, so once lunch is prepared and served he usually gets the afternoons off and brings some leftovers for us to share in the castle courtyard.
When I make it out to the courtyard I have yet to see Liam, probably due to all of the chaos from tonight's dinner preparations.
I sit down in our usual spot and it doesn't take long for my mind to start wandering.
It really is amazing that I get to witness peace between us and Mercia, not to mention I work for one of the people involved in such a historic moment.
Louis and I both have become quite close to one another, to the point where an achievement for him feels like an achievement for me. Most of the other servants I've talked to from other kingdoms find it odd that Louis and I are so close, none of them even like the people they work for. Louis is so kindhearted and a great person to be around, so I couldn't see it any other way. It just feels natural for us to have a connection, and a part of me hopes that Louis feels the same.
"Aye Lad! You awake in there?!" I hear Liam call from behind me.
I shake away my thoughts and turn to see a beaming Liam carrying a handful of wrapped bread, cheese and fruits.
"No mate, I fell asleep waiting on you! What took so long?" I joke.
"Sorry! The banquet stuff has been driving everyone absolutely mad. I thought Margaret was going to bite my head off at one point." Liam said joining me, sitting down and passing me some of the food.
"Wow, that bad? It even got to Margaret? She's like the nicest lady ever." I scoff. "To be fair, I think it's got the Prince worked up a bit too."
"I guess ending an old feud will do that to people." Liam shrugged, taking to chowing down on his portion of food.
I shrug back at him, turning my attention to my own bread and cheese in front of me. For the most part we both elected to eat in silence, until Liam started a story of him nearly dropping an entire boiling pot of soup on himself. Then the conversation turned into non-stop uncontrollable laughter.
Soon it had become mid afternoon, and Liam was expected to report back to the kitchen to continue the dinner preparations. We said our goodbyes and parted ways for the day.
I busied myself with helping the other staff set up the dining hall for the celebrations. Since there was so much for us to do the time flew. Before I knew it, it became time to get Louis changed.

Louis~
To my relief the conference finally ended, the room was becoming far too warm and stuffy for my liking. A final treaty was drafted and would be signed and declared during the celebrations this evening.
Once everyone was dismissed and began dispersing, I excused myself to my chambers. I hope Harry was already there, it would be nice to have some good company after the hours of listening to boring droning.
To my surprise the door was actually propped open and Harry was inside tidying around the room.
"Hello Harry!" I greeted.
"Hello sire. Things went well I assume?" Harry asked, matching my cheery tone.
"Very much so, today definitely calls for a celebration."
"Shall we begin getting you dressed then sire?" Harry said, picking up my folded ceremonial outfit from my bed.
The outfit consisted of a thin shirt covered with a longer detailed red shirt over it (and of course I had to also wear my crown and my cape with Camlelot's seal on it.)
"I assume you'll be going to get changed after we are done here?" I ask, noticing Harry was still in his usual clothing. He was facing me now doing up the front of my cape.
"Yes sire. I figured I had best get you ready first since you are the one everyone's eyes will be on tonight." My heart fluttered a bit as I watched his gaze trail up and down my body, doing a final check of his handiwork.
"Please tell me you plan on doing something with your hair?" I questioned, attempting to keep my thoughts away from him still eyeing me.
"I hadn't really planned on it sire, what would you request?" He questioned, pulling his gaze back up to my eyes.
I gestured for him to follow me and I sat on the side of my bed.
"Sit." I said softly, pointing to the floor in front of me.
Silently he obeyed.
I removed the scarf from his hair and watched it gracefully fall into his face. I softly began running my fingers through his hair and pulling it back away from his face into a ponytail. Everytime my fingertips grazed his scalp I felt him leaning into my touch a bit more. There was a leftover piece of string from my outfit that I used to tie his hair into a bun.
I didn't want to stop running my fingers through his hair.
"There... perfect."
Harry stood up and slowly turned to face me, he was gazing at the floor. He looked beautiful. I could practically see his brain trying to come up with what to say
Words couldn't seem to find their way to my lips either.
I stood up so we stood face to face.
Harry and I have always been close with one another, but never have I had such an urge to kiss him before.
Kiss him.
Yes. I heard me too.
"Thank you sire." Harry finally said, taking a quick awkward bow. "I'll see you at dinner."
Without looking at me again, Harry scurried out of my room.
