I joined the boys at the FBI building in Leo's office and sat with them, we had just learned that my former friend May Sullivan was the last person seen with me before I died. Leo was looking her up in the records right now.

She is twenty-two, studies at university, and has no criminal records.

"Why do you think she's connected?" Leo asked me.

"Because Dylan said she was the last one to be with me before I died," I explained.

"So now you believe anything he says?" Leo snapped at me.

"So what if I do, Mr. Grump? In fact, the first memory I had was about some girl who was with me in the motel room. So Dylan just reaffirmed my misgivings," I snapped back at him.

"But how did Dylan know that May was with you?" Morgan asked, interrupting our pettiness towards each other.

"Duuuuh...he used to be my boyfriend. I'm pretty sure I would have told him." I replied.

"Did he go to the police with a statement?" Morgan asked me another question.

"Yeah, but May appeared to have an alibi," I replied.

"She might have easily fabricated it," Morgan suggested.

"So this is it? This is our elusive assassin?" Leo said with attitude.

Was May guilty of my murder? Something wasn't right here. "I dunno, it seems fishy to me. We need to question her. Let's pay her a visit." I said.

Leo found her address quite quickly on the FBI's records, then we headed straight to her apartment. Which was only a few blocks away.

"So what exactly is your plan?" Leo asked.

"I'm going to her door and going to tell her my car has broken down and I need to use her phone. You two guard the exits and come help me if she tries to kill me," I joked.

I noticed two guys staring at us from across the screen and as soon as I met their eyes they pretended to go on their phones, "They have been following us." I said.

"They are our cover. Captain Jordan insisted." Morgan explained.

It made sense, considering we were the main targets...but it was creeping me out. Leo looked at me with sad eyes and told me to stay safe as I told them I was going.

I walked into the building and approached her door. The moment of truth...God, I'm so scared. But I can do this. I knocked on her door and she answered.

"Do we know each other?" She asked.

I noticed the large snake tattoo on her thigh, this was definitely her. Oh yes, we most certainly do know each other.

"I'm sorry to disturb you. My car broke down and I really need to contact some service." I lied to her.

"Where is your car?" She asked.

"The corner of the street. I tried other doors but no one else wanted to help." I lied again.

"Small wonder...this is not exactly the best part of town. Alright, come on in. I'll help you." She said and I entered her apartment.

She told me to wait in the living room while she went to grab her phone from upstairs. But I need to search the room for some clues. As quickly as I can.

Over by the TV, I found a drawing of a girl's back with butterflies on it, labeled "Briar" at the bottom. What the hell? I searched near her couch and under a cushion, I found the same type of key that I first found in that motel.
