Traitor (Kuroo x Reader)

Kuroo was always a good friend to Alisa, even before you two started dating. You do get jealous at first, but it doesn't bother you anymore because you knew they're just bestfriends. The type of bestfriends that would last forever. Even if someone ask if they're dating, Kuroo would reply with "No, we're just friends. I already have a girlfriend."

Or are they?

Cause lately, Kuroo has been pretty close to her. A little too close as 'friends'. Their relationship now seems far from bestfriends. As if they're a thing. Kuroo would walk her home everyday, and sometimes gave her his jacket on a cold, windy day.

Alisa would meet Kuroo everyday too. She would wait for Kuroo to finish practice, alongside with you. If usually you walk home alone with Kuroo, now Alisa is there too. She would hang out with Kuroo on weekends; something you both usually do, something you both should do as a couple.

You start to doubt, but don't want to overthink it. Maybe they really are just friends, and they just hang out more often to strengthen their bond. So you keep the thoughts inside.

You and Kuroo got into arguments a little too often lately. You guys would fight even over small things like when you take a little too much time to get ready or when you go somewhere without telling him first. Sometimes you would also argue about Kuroo left you on read when he's with Alisa and even forgot you guys have a date.

The fight would last a few minutes until one of you got too tired to talk back. But after every fight, Kuroo would always go to Alisa's house; saying he's going to calm himself down. Even if he didn't, he'd call her anyway.

But that didn't matter

You were always there for Kuroo during his ups and downs. You were there when he's at his worst. Like that one time when Kuroo was so stress with his studies that he just wants to give up on everything and run far, far away.

He reached out to you, and you were the one who comforted him. You were the one who put him back on his feet and guided him to the path. You were the one who stayed up all night to take care of him when he was sick. You were the one who comforted him when he had nightmares; sliding your fingers through his hair while trying to calm him down. But looks like all of that didn't matter now.

It took you two weeks
To go off and date her
Guess you didn't cheat
But you're still a traitor

Finally, after weeks of fighting and not feeling the love, Kuroo thought it's time to let go.The reason was simple; you guys are not compatible for each other. You guys fight all the time, as if you don't have the chemistry anymore.

You don't really want to, but it's for the best. The relationship is not working after all. Two weeks later, when you're still in the 'trying to move on' phase, you accidentally come across Alisa's instagram story. It was a picture of her and Kuroo, alone at a coffee shop. In the picture it was written "We're 1 week official <3"

You were dumbfounded. One week official? That means Kuroo started dating her a week after the breakup. You just can't believe how fast Kuroo get over it. Maybe he doesn't love you anymore, that's why the breakup didn't hit him that hard, or at all.

Now you bring her around
Just to shut me down
Show her off like she's a new trophy

And now, you see them everywhere you go. The park, the mall, the coffee shop, everywhere. As if he's trying to show you that he lost nothing by breaking up with you. You also noticed how his eyes light up brighter when he sees her, and how his smiles get wider when he's with her. How he looks way happier than when he's with you.

But the most annoying part is how his arm never leaves Alisa's waist the whole time they're together. When they're walking, he would tighten up even more to pull Alisa closer. As if she's a trophy, and he's showing her to the crowd proudly.

Yeah, you were pretty shocked at how Kuroo finds himself in a new relationship in just a blink of an eye. But you shouldn't. I mean, isn't it obvious? We all know that Kuroo is in love with Alisa. If he's not, why would he left you on read when he's around her?

If he's not, why would Kuroo go to her everytime you guys fight? If he's not, why would Kuroo bear being around Lev just to see Alisa? If he's not, how can he replace you so quickly?

Ain't it funny
All the twisted games
All the questions you used to avoid?

And you told me I was paranoid

It's all clear now; why he always used to avoid answering those questions where you ask him about his real feelings towards Alisa. He would pretend he didn't hear you, or saying he's busy at the moment and asking you to leave him alone, or quickly leaves to go somewhere else; saying that he forgotten a stuff and so on.

And if you try to ask anything- anything at all that involves Alisa, he would say that you're overthinking and being paranoid. If you ask "Who are you going to the movies with this week? Is it Alisa?" he would tell you "Just because I'm going somewhere without you doesn't mean Alisa would be there,"

Well, at least you were right.

But that didn't matter

Seems like all the time you used to spend to be there with him at his lowest were useless. Those times when you stay loyal with him was pointless. Because in the end, he won't choose to be with someone who stay by his side. He'd choose someone who prettier, smarter, better than you.

Isn't it funny? How he ended up being in a relationship with someone that he told you not to worry about. How he ended up dating someone that he said won't steal him away from you. But you couldn't really blame him. It's not his fault to choose to be with someone who brighten up his life better.

Guess you didn't cheat
But you're still a traitor
