"Stop," I ordered, my brain felt foggy. I had no idea what was going on.
All I knew is that they needed to stop and I needed to leave.
But they wouldn't stop.
I saw two, no three, maybe four guys.
They were laughing at me.
Why are they laughing at me? Do I have something on my face?
I rubbed my mouth and tried straightening out my hair. The laughter didn't die.
My legs felt like jelly. I couldn't leave.
Maybe I shouldn't? Maybe I'm just supposed to go to sleep.
My eyelids weighed like rocks against my eyes.
I felt warm hands grab me. The sound of fabric ripping brought me back to my senses.
"Let me go!" I screamed. "STOP!"
But it was like no one heard me.
"Are you getting it all on camera?" Someone called.
"Every second." Someone responded.
What?
That was when I heard a loud sound.
It was like fireworks.
Ooh, what're we celebrating?
I began laughing but stopped when I heard people begin to scream.
I was dropped onto the bed.
It was so soft under my fingers.
I can finally go to sleep.
"Where do you think you're going, you miserable excuse of a human?" I heard someone seethe.
"There was a gunshot." The other guy protested. "Let me go!"
Gunshot?
"Really? I thought you couldn't hear anything. Because I think she told you to stop and you didn't listen. Or is it that you do not speak simple English?"
I heard some shuffling. The sound of skin impacting skin. A yelp. Cursing.
Tilting my head, I saw my knight in shining armour holding Tyson by his neck. Blood seemed to be coming out of his head.
Or was it Tyler? Tylenol?
I started to laugh at my thoughts.
Imagine someone being called Tylenol.
More giggles erupted from my throat.
No, his name is Tyler.
Dallas briefly turned away from Tyler, his anger dissipating when he caught my gaze.
He looked back at Tyler. "If you or any of your weaselly friends ever come near her again, I won't hesitate to put a bullet through each of your skulls."
I watched Tyler fall to the floor as Dallas shoved him aggressively. He scurried out of the room.
Like a rat.
More laughter.
My eyes began to close again, knowing that I was safe. I was okay.
A couple of moments later, I felt warm hands hook beneath my neck and knees. Bridal style.
Was I getting married?
I began laughing again. I slowly opened my eyes again, finding dark hair and dark eyes looking down at me in concern.
