In my newest Story there is a huge change in the Omniverse. The Watchers have a new Queen. The Cosmic Crown is not the usual crown the ruler wears. As you can see in any other scenes with James he never wore a crown with that style. The Cosmic Crown is the key to seemingly infinite Cosmic power. During a coronation that is the crown that is used so the new ruler can make any mind boggling changes. The Cosmic crown causes corruption. If Charlie hadn't already been kinda messed up then he would be after wearing it for years until the power started to wear off. The vines are also something caused by the cosmic power. These vines are actually lines of code being corrupted and if Charlie had wanted he could use those vines to destroy entire AU's.
