Hi! This is kinda a short chapter lmao, I've decided to bring in a lil more drama because I feel like making people sad😼

There was a shift in the village lately. Everybody was on their toes, and an uneasy air was about. People jumped at the slightest whisper, and turned around at the rustling of a bush. Especially the elders. For years, they had been going on about how something bad was going to happen. But of course, nobody listened. They were old, and demented. Old people were like that, weren't they? Always claiming that they were soothsayers, always being over protective. This time though, they weren't wrong. They were very very right.

On this particular day, there was a newletter coming in, with all of the latest offers, sale prices and membership badges for the rich. Everybody was waiting exitedly, perhaps they were expecting a letter, or some packages from relatives. Some were waiting for illegal substances to make money off in this time of poverty, and others were simply going with the flow. Maybe they would get a job offer? Who knows. They didn't either way.

Everybody was gathered round, looking at the truck expectantly. But to no avail. Nothing was given to the villagers, and there where no signs of anything happening, even after fifteen minutes of waiting. They waited even longer, yet the truck still did not leave. One brave woman decided to go and knock on the door, possibly because she was impatient, but maybe for the sake of the others who weren't in the physical state to wait any longer.

"Excuse me?" She asked tentatively, peering thought the window. "Hello?"

Nobody replied.

"Hello?"

Silence

"Excuse me?"

And a bang. The crowd turned around and stared at the woman, who had been shot in the forehead.

Everybody gasped. They started running, and how they ran. Gunshots could be heard, and children, women, men, and some non binary people, they all ran. Somebody screamed.

"No!" A lady shouted. The poor woman was holding the dead body of her child in her arms. "No!" She screamed again.

A masked man was walking towards her.

The crown froze. The man went right up to her, as if he might get on his knees and start comforting her. Well, that's what the woman thought. "Help me!" She cried. "My daughter is dying!"

Of course, the man had no remorse.

"Such a foolish woman. You thought I was going to help you?" he thought.

And as expected of the crowd, he shot her.

...

Bakugo woke up, sweating. Must've been another bad dream.
