They huddled together underneath Draco's muggle coat. Their faces were flushed as they looked at each other wonderingly. Draco places his palm against her porcelain cheek.

She was real.

"I can feel your heart beating," Hermione said as she placed her head against his chest.

Draco grinned widely, pulling her closer to him. He broke out into a peal of joyous laughter.

"Are you alright?"

"Oh, Salazar, Granger," Draco said, looking into her confused eyes, placing a hand on top of her wildly curled hair. "You fill me with joy. You keep my heart beating— in fact, one glimpse at your soul could bring even a deceased man back to life."

Hermione raised an eyebrow. "I'm not the first girl you've seduced this way, am I?"

"No, but you are the only one to which my words speak an essence of truth."

"That better be the most truthful thing you've ever said, Malfoy," Hermione said, recalling his sweet touch.

She felt something warmth clutch within her chest when she listened to his heart beating against his chest as she watched it fall and rise with air.

As much as they both wanted to stay and cherish the moment together, they both knew that there was surely someone looking for them, most likely sent by Astoria. They didn't want to be found, certainly not like this, anyway.

"Check in here," Hermione heard a member of staff say, she didn't need to physically say anything, Draco understood. The two of them quickly left, leaving the crew members still searching for them.

"Look, in here," one of them said, pointing toward the carriage they were no longer in.

"Come on, quick," he whispered, both of them running out of the carriage they had been in, coming out onto the night sky decking, holding each other as tightly as they could whilst laughing.

"You should have seen the looks on their faces when they realized we weren't in there," Hermione giggled. Draco was once laughing along, but every sense of humour had dropped when he was serious in what he next said.

"When this ship docks, I'm getting off with you."

Hermione held his cheek in her palm, staring at him intensely, "This is all so crazy."

"I know," he laughed. "It doesn't make any sense. That's why I trust it."

Hermione could do nothing more than smile in his embrace, his lips reaching down to connect with hers, passion trading from one another as they held each other as though they were the only people left within the world.

They didn't let go, they just carried on. Not caring who saw, or if anyone saw at all for that matter. They had no care, even if Ron or Harry were to walk out onto the deck, no offer in the world could have made Hermione let go of Draco.

From a high point that was overlooking the night sea ahead was Dean Thomas and Seamus Finnigan, they looked between the couple and then between themselves.

"There's something you would have never expected to happen back in school. Granger and Malfoy, who would have thought," Seamus said quietly to Dean, rubbing his hands together to find a sense of warmth in the friction.

"They seem a bit warmer than we are," Dean jokes.

"Well if that's what it takes for us to get warmer, I'd rather not," Seamus says sarcastically, his eyes darting between Dean's eyes and paralleled lips, which he hates to admit he looked at more often than not these days.
