At 2:34 pm my phone rang
"Hello?" I said confused
The number was unknown, so it could be anyone
"Hello I'm Megan for Talentx, is this nirvana?
"Yes ma'am"
"We saw your job application and we would love you for the position as the main manger for our sway house" she said very professionally
I was shocked to say the least. I had only sent in my application in a few days ago, so i expected to be jobless for a while
"Of course I'll take it! When can I start?" I asked Megan
"Can you come to the office today?" She asked her
"Of course, what time?" I asked
"Will four work?" She asked
"Yes ma'am, thank you so much" I said hanging up the phone
I walked the quick walk to my closet to find something professional yet cute
"White shirt with ruffle sleeves, jeans, and my sunglasses" I said listing off the pieces of today's outfit
By the time I got ready it was almost four
I drove the thirty minute ride to talentx, and once I finally got there I was greeted with a giant glass covered building
"Woah" I whispered to myself
I walked inside of the building and headed to the receptionist
"Can I help you?" The women said, her name tag read Ray
"Yes ma'am, I was wondering where I go for this sway manager job" I laughed nervously
"Seventh floor" she said going back to type on her computer
LA is nothing like the small town in Connecticut I grew up in. I noticed that when I came here for college. I had manners and majority of the people here didn't.
I walked to the elevator and pushed the seventh button. I noticed 15 floors, but the 13th was skipped.
The elevator went up the six floor and i made my way to the other receptionist. This time it was a guy and his tag read Levi L.
I guess there's more then one Levi here, or he really likes his last name
"Hey girl how can I help you?" He asked me
Nicest person I've ran into today "I was wondering where Megan is! I got the job as Sway houses manger, but to be honest I have no clue where to go." I laughed
"Oh I got you, so to your left there will be a room that has Megan's name on it. But don't go in right away, make sure to knock. Meg is super sweet, but she doesn't like when people come into her space without warning." Levi laughed
"Thank you so much" I said
"No problem and congrats on the job" he told me before I walked over to Megan's office
I knocked on the creme colored door that read "Megan's office"
"Come in" Megan said
"Thank you" I said walking into the room
"Omg hello" Megan said walking over to hug me
"Hey" I said hugging her back
"Ok so you can sit here" she said pointing to a white couch in front of her desk
I sat down and she began to talk again
"So you're young" she said
"Yeah"
