"How are we going to fake out Miranda?" Ethan asked.
"I make Golems, remember? Look, she knows you went down to my mines so she already thinks I'm dead. I can easily make a Golem that will look like Heis, you fight it, it loses, boom, she thinks we're all dead." I said.
"Okay, but what will I use to fight it?" He asked. I began walking to the elevator.
"We can use that machine that's being built down below by that guy that's been placing explosives all throughout the factory." I said.
"WHAT?!?!" Heis yelled, and quickly followed after me, with Ethan behind us both. "Someone's planting explosives in MY factory?! Why didn't you tell me sooner?!" He asked. I shrugged.
"I thought he might be useful. And I was right. Come on, let's get down there." I said. We got onto the elevator, and headed to the lowest floor in the factory. Just like I thought, the man was still there. I knew he'd view us as a threat, so I took a precaution. I pulled an emerald from my pocket, and lightly tossed it at his feet. The man looked down, but before he could react, I manipulated the emerald so it trapped his feet and hands.
"What the hell?!" He asked, but then the three of us walked out.
"Sorry man, but I'd rather talk to you without getting a gun to the face." I said.
"Who are you?" The man asked, but before I could say anything, Ethan stepped forward.
"Chris?"
"Ethan? What the hell are you doing here?! I told you to stay out of our business!" The man, Chris said. I raised an eyebrow.
"You two know each other?" I asked. Ethan growled a little.
"Yeah, this bastard murdered my wife and kidnapped my daughter! It's his fault Rose is in danger!" Ethan yelled. Chris sighed.
"That wasn't Mia. It was Miranda in disguise." Chris said. Ethan's eyes widened.
"What?!" He asked. I let Chris go, pulling the emerald back to me.
"Miranda is a bioweapon. This whole village is one big experiment of hers. She's experimented on everyone here with Mold. She can turn into anyone she wants, and she used that to infiltrate your home disguised as Mia." He said. I thought on it.
"That...would make sense. Last night was the first time she's been back here in like , four months." I said. Ethan sat down, with his head in his hands.
"I can't believe this. I can't escape it..." He muttered. Chris looked at me then.
"What?" I asked.
"Do I know you from somewhere?" He asked.
"No, not that I know of. I mean, unless you knew me before Alcina killed me." I said. I heard Heis scoff.
"Lady Super-Sized Bitch..." He muttered, and I snorted at what he called her.
"What's your name?" Chris asked.
"Well, Miranda renamed me Branwyn, but Heis has always addressed me by my real name: Winnie. Winnie Kennedy of House Kennedy in the Crystal Mines." I said. Chris's eyes widened.
"Winnie?? It's really you??" He asked. Now my eyes widened.
"Wait, did you really know me?!" I asked.
"Yeah, hell I was there the day you were born! Your Father is Leon Scott Kennedy." He said. Then, he pulled out his wallet and showed me a picture of what looked to be a younger me, with an older man who looked just like me. "You were sent out here on a mission five years ago, when you suddenly went radio silent. We sent as many resources out her as we could to try and find you, but no one could find any trace of you." He said. I stared at the picture.
"I...I was fifteen years old..." I muttered. Heis gently placed a hand on my shoulder. He could tell my memory was coming back.
"Take your time, Darlin." He said.
"I...I remember that mission...I was sent to check the village after we received reports of bioweapon activity...I wandered into the village...wandered over into the castle at the suggestion of a few villagers...Alcina had welcomed me with open arms, offering me a place to rest...just to run her blades through my back as I turned to look around. She took me to Miranda...Miranda cut my chest open and placed the Cadou Parasite into my body...my hair turned silver...and I gained these powers..." I choked on a sob, as I looked up at Chris. "Uncle Chris?" I asked. He nodded. I ran into his arms and began sobbing. "Uncle Chris, I want to go home! I want my Daddy!!" I sobbed. While that sentence may have sounded childish coming from a 22 year old, I'd had everything ripped away from me when I was just 15. These memories were overwhelming! Chris rubbed my back.
"I know Hun. we'll get you to him, but first, we have to kill Miranda. You can't leave this village, not while she's alive." He said. I sniffed, and felt myself get passed into someone else's arms. The comforting smell of metal and cigar smoke filled my nose.
"Don't worry, Win. We'll get out of here together. Then, we'll find your Daddy. After all, I have to properly ask him for your hand in marriage, don't I?" He asked. I looked up.
"But Heis, we're already married." I said. he shrugged.
"Maybe I wanna do it properly, because you deserve it...or maybe I just don't want your family to slaughter me." He said, making me laugh. Once I was calmed down, I let Chris in on our plan. He agreed to help us, so he let Ethan use the tank he'd been messing with. Heisenberg and I headed topside, where I pulled together a bunch of scrap metal and created a Golem that I thought would look like Heis if he ever mutated.
"I name you...Heisenberg." I said, and he came to life. "Your purpose is to fake a fight with Ethan. The fight needs to look real enough to fool Miranda, but you cannot kill Ethan. Make sure to fake your death when you feel that the fight was real enough." I said. He nodded.
"Yes Master." He said. With that, Heis and I hid, ready to watch a battle that would hopefully give us an advantage over Miranda.
