TW Yelling, Panic Attack

"Tommy... How were you in my dream last night?"

Tommy blinked up at Techno in confusion, "What are you talking about? You were in my dream!"

Techno shook his head, his grip tightening on Tommy's shoulders, causing the boy to wince slightly, "No. There is no way we had the exact same dream. Especially THAT dream!" Techno's normally monotone voice was trembling and full of fear. Tommy swallowed the lump in his throat as he stared into Techno's eyes, which had lost their usual shine of confidence.

Techno's grip tightened again, his long talon-like nails cutting into Tommy's skin, resulting in involuntary tears to prick at the corners of his eyes. "Techno, let go! You're hurting me!"

Techno's body froze before releasing Tommy, stepping as far away from the boy as possible. "I- I'm sorry, Tommy. I-I do- don't- don't know what happened...." Techno tore his gaze away from Tommy, guilt weighing down on his shoulders.

Techno is acting really weird. Tommy thought as he watched Techno move over to his bed. He's acting like he did in the dream. "Techno... are you sure we had the same dream. It could be a coincidence or just very, very similar."

Techno glanced away from Tommy before pulling out a small leather journal from under his pillow. Techno flipped the book open, flicking through the pages before stopping, having found the entry he was looking for. Slowly, his low monotone voice filled the room, reciting Tommy's dream in exact detail. Tommy was already convinced that the dreams were similar but was sold when Techno reached a particular sentence.

"...Tommy ran to my aid, skidding to a halt next to me. Why was he here?! No one else has ever been in my dream before, so why is he here now? He wrapped me in a hug. I could almost feel his arms around me as if he were actually hugging me in the real world. The beast in front of us snarled and hissed, slowly increasing in height; soon, it was towering over us. Voces. That creature of darkness, plaguing my mind since I was born and now towered above Tommy and me. It lunged, fangs drawn. Hellbent on destroying either Tommy or myself. I wasn't going to let Tommy take the fall. I wasn't going to let Tommy die. I made to grab my sword before Tommy flung his hand up with his palm facing Voces. I attempted to stop him when a bright red glow emanated from the center of Tommy's palm. Voces slammed against some sort of shield, screeching as its body was hurtled away. Lost to the void. For the first time in years, I found myself in total silence..." Techno's voice broke slightly before he continued reading, describing the symbol on Tommy's palm with such incredible detail that he must have seen it for himself.

Techno sighed and snapped the book closed. "There you have it...."

Tommy's heart was thrumming in his ears as a tense silence filled the room. "Techno.... Who is the Blood God?" Tommy hurriedly covered his mouth, cursing himself slightly. He had been repeating the question in his mind for the past five minutes. He hadn't meant to blurt out his thoughts, but there was no going back now.

Techno let out a dry humorless chuckle, averting his gaze, "You're looking at him...."

Tommy's eyes widened slightly, "You're the Blood God?! That- THAT'S SO COOL!"

"NO! NO, IT'S NOT COOL, TOMMY!" Techno snapped, causing Tommy to flinch. Seeing this, Techno let out a soft sigh, "You heard them, didn't you." Techno wasn't asking; he knew Tommy had heard the voices. Tommy hesitated, rubbing his arm slightly as he averted his gaze. Techno sighed heavily and nodded, knowing that Tommy knew what he was talking about. "The voices you heard in there, the ones you heard in that void..." Techno squeezed his palm with one hand, pressing against a scar in the center, "I hear them all the time, Tommy. They're always there, and- Tommy, they scare the hell out of me."
