Chapter three; the truth...?

sorry sorry for taking so long... I kinda forgot about the story... also traveller im gonna use they/them and comment if I should make it Aether or Lumine! Btw there will be no romance between traveller and xiao- I'll write chapter four asap :)

Xiao met up with traveller and something seemed off about them. So he decided to question it... and so the questions began.

"Hey are you alright? You seem off today."
Traveller looked over at xiao with a slight smile of reassurance, inwhich xiao glad to see until it faded and a dull look spread across their face.

"you... noticed huh?" They gave a little chuckle that sounded like alot of forced emotion was put into it. Xiao just looks over and nods slightly looking at them with worry in their eye and tried to reach out their hand to the others.

"dont. please." the sound of their voice startled the adepti and he pulled away... They sat in silence looking in the distance on the liyue harbor port.

Xiao wanting to change the subject brought up the topic he'd bring up everytime they meet... his beloved venti. As he spoke up telling traveller about their memories together. Traveller seemed to tense up and had their eyes widened as if they were afraid...?

Xiaos eyes widen a little and looked over and question them. "Venti...? What did venti do?" Xiao looked at their friend straight in their eyes.

Traveller who's normally calm stuttered for one of the first times xiao has heard. "W-what? Venti! He did nothing wrong! Haha!" What xiao easily saw through the fake laughter of their friend he questioned again and again, he wouldn't stop until he got his answers...
