It was her plan in the first place, make him weak, gather information while she's at it and finally kill him.

But why isn't it happening smoothly.

Instead she found herself falling for her own plan.

"you know that weapon won't do you no good" he said as he backed away from her

"YOU KNEW, YOU KNEW MY PLAN ALL ALONG" she said as she breathed heavily

Instead of being angry he pulled her into a hug, every time she tried to move he tightens his grip on her.

That's when she confirmed it, he's the hero that needed to survive to save commoners and she's the villain that needed to be killed or to kill.
